So....you're saying if a child is sick and has to be picked up, the parent has to drive 17 miles to get the child??? If you want parent participatioin in an evening program they have to drive 17 miles each way to attend?????Ridiculous!!!

SENDING GRAFTON STUDENTS TO PLANIFILED IS NOT A GOOD IDEA I THINK THE DISTRICT SHOULD THINK ABOUT HOW LONG THESE KIDS WILL BE IN A BUS , MY CHILD WAS BUSSED FROM PRAIRIE TO PLANFIELD ONE YEAR AND THE BUS WOULD PICK HER UP AT 0730 AND DROP HER OFF AT 1630 THATS A LONG DAY FOR ANY KID TO BE IN A BUS , MY CHILD WAS TIRED AND FRUSTRATED AND FALLING BEHIND IN SCHOOL SO I HAD TO PULL HER OUT OF PLANIFIED I THINK WHO EVER ASSUMED THIS IS A GOOD IDEA SHOULD GET IN THE BUS AND TRY IT THEMSELF TO SEE IF IT'S SOMETHING THE WOULD DO DAILY .....

I grew up in the country in Indiana. My bus picked me up at 7:10 each morning and I got home at 4:05. The bus ride was just fine. This will not impair the children's ability to focus or be prepared for class.

That is a long day for a kid, who are you trying to convice? Besides many of these kids do not eat a full lunch and do get behind.I dont know about the winter back where you are from but it gets really hot out her and to be on the bus for that period time does get kids tired. There is no way i would want to drive 17 miles each way if there was back to back events. As it is many familys are trying to save money to put back in this state we are in. STAND UP FOR YOUR SELFS "GRAFTON". CHECK INTO WHO THIS DEAL REALLY BENEFITS.
