19 Mile and Larsen is known to hunters as "Deer Valley." I bet with the colder nights and deer running, the curve right there with a gravel road intersecting a paved road, that the conditions were perfect for a wreck.

Bummer.

I think it was Hurley who has previously mentioned that he doesn't ride at night for this exact reason, or if he does, it very seldom; And especially this time of year it is assinie [sp ck] to ride at night

I used to work midnight shift and drove to and from work mostly in the dark. It's been almost 10 years now, but a deer cost me the last truck I had. Totalled it. I never saw the deer before I hit it due to the glare from oncoming headlights.

As I have known forever now, most bikers are a bit of a wimp especially those harley boys (sic) in their shiny leathers and chaps and grey pony tales with the pot belly hanging over the tank. Real men don't.

- And please remember as you comment on this topic... he has a family and young children that need him, instead of calling them idiot Harley riders with fat guts, why don't you say a sweet little prayer. Life is so short and you never know when your number is up, even when you are not ready to let go.

Sounds like your a tough guy. I've found in my experience that most tough guys are criers when they get beat down.

Maybe they live in the area??? There were plenty of bike events going on yesterday. I took part in one. How do you know these people didn't volunteer their time to a charity and were on their way home?

Then you dont know any real harley guys.99% of the harley guys work for charity and good causes when they can. Alot of whats going on now with the bikers is for charity. They are on charity rides raising money for sick people! I hope you never need one!

Yes the one rider has a broken ankle, or leg. And the other rider is in serious condition.

First off let me say My thoughts and prayers go out to family's. Second off let me say one thing in defense of the riders. On the road is where your life may take you twists and turns and not knowing what is ahead. Countless hours of you and your bike living life as free as can be it is a way of life it also can be dangerous but yet safer and cheaper then other vehicles out there. Remember cars have two headlights bikes have one. Deer have come out of no where with cars to.
Let me also say in response to an earlier comment that was made if you think harley riders are weak lets see you ride in the rain or hail on a bike.
