I cant believe that they are going to get rid of half the employees. I think the people there now are good people. SHAME on you CPH, you had it planned from the beginning. But i must say i was glad to see Donna Prashaw go!

HALF? EVERYONE has to re-apply for their job. Which means they ALL lose vacation days, seniority, and probably get a pay cut. CPH didn't plan anything.

Remember the days, last year when EJN had a surgeon who did resect a large bowel laparoscopically on a 90year old woman, an anestesiologist, an obstrician, a pediatrician, hoffman, loving, bearthlein, thom pson, jacobs, just memories to a necrotizing healthcare system brought to you by cuomo. 244 full time healthcare jobs in Gouverneur, now applying for work. Yea lets approach the new reorganizational board of 5, one lives in town. Obviously, we must give credit to Nariv Shih NYS commissioner of health who takes all his orders from cuomo, at least aubertine was smart enough to resign. For 20 plus years Chuck Conole kept this system providing support for this community with the helpof Joe Vaganic and now after NYS DOH shuts down the blood bank EJN has lost money for years? Smoke and mirrors can hide bullshit just so long, I wish with all my heart, and 37 years of work in this community, that we had the balls to stop this rape, because we are a powerless casulty of Albany grandious plan for the northcountry as a recreational place to visit, and then go home. May god help us we need it really, now.

People have been complaining about EJN. Now EJN is trying to get reorganized. Let the new management decide what is best...to keep our hospital up and running. Stop complaining.

yes please let them change things the hospital needs it. times have changed. we have to realize this. i want a hospital here with good doctors and nurses. i do feel bad for the help if this is true about having to do an application. but those who get to stay have done it right. those that do not have done it wrong.i am sorry but about 4 months agao my daughter was in there asking for something for her head ache and it took them four hours to get her something. now that is awful i am sorry.there is no need for that.also the er is unreal. there are a few nurses there that are down right rude and mean they need to go. a person comes in there sick do not need that crap. there are a few pa that need to go.yes the place does need to be cleaned up. nurses that are gossips about every one that comes in there. the er is bad for that. has been for years.i know i did my clinical time there and that is all i heard about every patient that came in there. it was disgusting.it needs an over haul bad. at this point i would not be put in there as a patient. my doctor here in town has been told. until things change and get better i am not ever going to be a patient there. so see there are alot of people that feel the same way. they are not comfortable there. so the hospital right there is loosing money. because they are loosing patients. it is sad. lets see a change for the good. so it will not be ej noble it will be gouverneur hospital. it is a new beginning people lets be glad.

Apparently you don't have a clue as to what is going on. Why compare? EJN(Gouverneur Hospital) has a whole different issue.

That was a valid question seeing how as CPH is undergoing the same process and going to be sucked up into this new organization. If the union workers at CPH allow this to happen they will be next to go.

Maybe your daughter should buy some health insurance and have her own doctor for that, and not waste hospital or ER resources? Ya think?
I wonder why also

Exactly, Schwere! Why didn't the daughter TAKE AN ASPIRIN at home? Oh, wait, she would have had to PAY for the aspirin if she took it at home.

The unions have put too many businesses into the ground, and now the tables are being turned, thankfully.

Went to the ER for a headache???? Really?? That's exactly why the nurses and staff get so frustrated! It is called an EMERGENCY ROOM for a reason not a after hours clinic! That's why the people who gerontology car accident and are in REAL pain get sent out with nothing but ibproufin because of all the drug seekers in this town!

"Fact Is" is right when she said that the nurses gossip. Yes, that needs to stop. Although I fully and whole heartedly support EJN(Gouverneur Hospital), and I'm very happy to see it up and running, I have to agree that there are some rude nurses. When they tend to patients they should realize, that their paycheck depends on "patients", without patients and people who patronize the hospital, there would not be money to pay the employees.
I myself have experienced a rude nurse who took my blood pressure at the ER two years ago, and many years ago, another rude nurse who directed me to take a seat in a rude manner when I went to the ER. I have good insurance with a $75 copay when going to the ER.

The unions are showing their true motivations here and therein showing the true face of EJN's old issues. They care more about their benefits than their customers / patients. It showed in their attitude and it showed in their care. Thus, it was reflected back by those in the community with the negative comments. But the employees didn't care because they thought the hospital would always be there. Little did they know reality would soon bite them in the a**. Much like the GPD when there were talks of dissolving it, they cried about the poor patients / community members who wouldn't be receiving care / protection without them. But now in the rebuilding phase who's complaining? The union. Much like the GPD who wouldn't give up automatic raises and full covered healthcare for their families, plus 20 and out retirement deals. See, when it benefits them and it's in public they whine that they're really here for us. In reality, they're not and this proves it. Grow up unions. Apply for your jobs and be thankful that you have them. Develop a good attitude and do your job well. You chose it.

I knew the Union whining was coming, saw that from a mile away.

CPH is not the hospital in trouble, so there is no reason for them to reorganize or their employees to re-apply. The reorganization is in simply terms - a bankruptcy that allows EJ to default and screw all creditors and suppliers.

If is does get to reopen as Gouvy Hosp it will still need doctors, nurses, etc. New organization, new policies, old employees must apply to the new entity.

Screw the union workers. Get a job, do it well and stop striking and picketing and whining and sniveling and complaining and moaning and groaning and ..........

Unions the reason the USA is failing, along with Odumbo

I went to CPH a month ago before i left i ask the PA to refer me to a DR. He gave me a new female DR. out of EJN. I told him i didn"t want to go to EJN or their clinics. He said out right (Then find your own DR.). I happend to talk to another person who was a Docter who was their at the time " he said thats because he now run EJN ER". I was shocked. People are being sent to EJN And being told by this PA to use their services He's done this a few times i was told. Taking away bussiness from CPH. He was mad at me. I told him where to go!!! CPH didn"t like it!
Good question

I want to know who the employees of gouverneur hospital will be working for. Are they now CPH employees? Is the new hospital part of CPH? If so then there are some labor laws being broken right now. Gouverneur employees should be grandfathered into CPHs seniority system.

As of this moment you can't access jobs at CPH on their web page. Looks very suspicious to me.
