The place can't be any worse than your horrible grasp of the English language and spelling. You, my overly-intoxicated friend, should have stayed in school.

They have the best food in town. They are the most popular restaurant in town. Just check out the parking lot on a given night. And often you have to make a reservation because of their popularity. Angie and the other waitresses are friendly. Not only is the food good, but they give generous portions. John is a great guy. I think someone who started this discussion has a jealously problem.

Have you people ever been out of Gouverneur? There isn't a "great" resteraunt in this town! Casablanca is supposed to be Italian/American. The last time I went there the pasta was way overdone with plain tomato sauce with no seasoning. My husband got a steak and it was grey. No grill marks no seasoning! The food leaves a lot to be desired. Before someone accuses me of being someone who has something against the owners I can assure you I'm not. I'm not even from this town and have only been here a couple years. When we want a good meal we go to Potsdam or Watertown. If someone opened a good restaurant with good food here they would make killing!
i agree

So why don't you move out of town so you can get your "good" food every night without having to travel? Obviously you have no idea what good food, friendship and family are. People travel far to eat at the caz and the Pistolesi family is loved by many. So I suggest you pick your battles on another topic as you aren't gonna win this one. It would be interesting to know why you moved here and what your occupation is. Care to answer?

I am very sorry "From Here" I mistakenly judged your post with negative icons, as I thought I was judging the person you were replying to. You are soooo right, I too, know people who travel from Potsdam, Canton, and Watn. to go to the Casablanca. Sounds like the people "who moved here" take their business out of town, and also, How can they so harshly judge a restaurant that they have only been to one time? Also, maybe they just don't like "real" Italian food.

I would be happy to answer. Not sure what my occupation has to do with the food available here but if you think it does, I am a nurse for the developmentally disabled. My husband is a civilian employee on Fort Drum and we are both college educated. The reason we moved here is because my husband is from the area. I may have only had one dinner at the Casablanca but my husband has had a few, all with the same result. Just because someone disagrees with you, they are automatically stupid or on public assistance. Sorry but wrong in both cases. Nobody said you couldn't go there and if you like the food good for you but we do not and you aren't going to change our mind I can assure you. We will continue to travel to eat out because we don't enjoy the food here. Last time I checked this was still a free country and I am entitled to my opinion. It appears as though I'm not alone as well!
Love it
