Well I will admit that on the outside it may look as if it does little if anything....However it does bring awareness to un-niformed good patriots that love and honor the Constitution.
It also shows those that view it is a certain light that they are not alone in this there are others that feel the same way.
Grassroots event such as these is was and will always be the foundation of ideas being put forth. If everyone was simply compliant and do nothing then we would soon live in a totally Socialist society.
It bring like minded people into a group that will then help support lobbing financially , morally , and at the voting booths.
It also helps with funds to pay for law suits to stop or over turn illegal legislation.
It also helps to bring those elected HOW they are voting and if they do really in fact have the peoples wants and needs best interests at heart, and then can vote out those that vote for these laws and vote against them.
If this rally changes a few peoples view point and a few to simply look at what is being said, and and a few to start investigating and giving the conservative party a second look, they may well see that it is the party for them. We as conservatives what our party on the left and the right , straight down the middle party, Sure most leaders will fall perhaps on the right side, but that also can change if we can bring in more moderate party member on the left.
This is what they do IMO

Thanks for explaining. I see from what you said how it can be helpful in some ways. Its just frustrating to me the way this legeslation was passed. How can the polititians believe that they are doing the work of the people when they do not allow any debate and passed these laws behind our backs.
Many polititians are completely ignorant about the inner workings of a modern firearm.
You take a semiauto shotgun buy a stock that is adjustable to fit the vast differences in arm length and it is suddenly an assult weapon? Comlete and utter ignorance on the part of our lawmakers! There is so many other pointless provisions I could go on all day. Very very frustrating. I will be voting against every person that had anything to do with this.

Thanks for you reply and that you feel I answered your question...I did try to answer honestly.....plese keep up the fight and look up who voted in favor of these laws...Coumo..Gillibrant...Sch umer have got to go...Pattie Richie ( I believe I spelled that correctly ) was at the rally and spoke and is herself a patriot from the North Country...Ogdensburg. Please help with our cause ...talk to folks and try to get them to take a look at conservatives....join our party and lets make a really change in NY on 2014....and then Stand with Rand 2016.

There is a person that keeps writing to the news paper. He says he is a vet. I am also. I know the difference between the rifle that I used in Iraq and a AR15. He should know as I know that many weapons could be as effective or even more effective than an Ar15. The shooters use them because they are a fad right now. A semi 12ga shotgun is way more deadly in a crowd than a AR15. That is why the Army uses them in urban combat. It is a good thing that the shooters don't know this. They can be fired fast and reloaded very fast.
Now about taking guns from honest people. Research how many NRA members or pistol permit holders have committed crimes. Very few if any. There are millions of Americans that have always lived right. They have done nothing but work and pay taxes. Why should they have to live with a law that will only effect them. A law that will not stop any killings. To the writer to the paper. How do you think gun laws will stop anything. Anymore than drug laws have stopped drugs. I know you feel bad for the children that were killed. Everyone does. This whole gun control debate has cost millios of dollars and will not stop anything. Please stop and think about it. How can it help? Do you think that because of the drug laws that I can't get pot anytime I want to.I don't smoke it. Not because it is against the law because I don't want to. 99.999% of gun owners will never kill anyone. By murder or self defence. Leave us alone.

I agree with you. The weapon I carried when out and about was the 12 ga I can kill from a distance or close up the govt trained me well. I chose not to relive my past just remember. A peice of paper (law) has stopped little when illegal action is involved . The govt with their fast dealing knee jerk actions have done little to support the people.

The federal govt as well as the Obama administration have spun dangerously out of control. As citizens we must inform ourselfs! Www.infowars.com also research FEMA camps. This shut needs to be exposed to the public. Our govt is preparing to sell out and does not give a fuck about its citizens anymore.

Do you *really* think that
if you have a gun at your
house in Gouverneur and we
get attacked by a foreign
country, the citizens of the
"well armed militia" will be
able to do anything?

LMFAO!!!!

Your police officers shoot
themselves in the feet over there.

True story. Look it up.

Bring all the troops home and
Let the Armed Forces protect
America. To hell with arming
redneck retards in New York State.

We're safer than you are! And yes an armed nation is much safer than an unarmed one. "Lol" you made yourself look retarded asking a question like that. You obviously have no respect for our country's founding principles.

a lot of the redneck retards are military trained. Many have handled firearms all their lives. I would much rather convoy in Iraq than convoy here in the USA. Those retarded rednecks would raise hell with their 4 wheelers and deer rifles. We know the area and we can shoot. How would you like to convoy between Gouverneur and Watertown? It would be a very tough trip. It would be the same anywhere in this country. Maybe that is why they want to disarm us. I don't believe it will ever come to that. But if it did my money is on the rednecks.

Yeah. Costly victory. Rednecks with AR-15's against A-10's and Predator drones.

I think the government wins against people that just don't have a clue.

Been to war. Seen what can be done with an AK and RPG's.We had the planes the choppers and tanks and drones. A lot of convoys still got ambushed and many died. The high tech weapons can't be everywhere at all times. Did we win in Nam? Did we win in Iraq? Like I said. I'm not a preper I don't think that we the people will have to rise up and fight our government. I do think that it is a good idea that we keep all of our guns. I don't think that my house will burn. But I do keep a fire extinguisher. Better to have and not need than need and not have. Also not all AR owners are rednecks. Like all beagles are dogs. But not all dogs are beagles.
