It's long over due:
- reduce armed forces by 40%
- close 60% of overseas bases
- reduce pay and benefits by 30%
- can't draw retirement untill 66
- can only draw retirement OR social security
- no healthcare for life unless injured during action

I do not believe we should reduce our entire armed forces by 40%.

I do, however, beive that since we don't have any recruiting problems in the U.S., that we shut-down the Navy's Blue andgels and Air Force's Thunderbirds Flight Demonstration Teams. Both teams each have an annual operating budget of $40 Million!!!

I do agree that we need to close 60% of all overseas bases--and bring those people home to guard our own borders!

We need to stop giving money to Egypt, Pakistan, etc.

We need to stop giving entire Squadrons of F-16 Fighter Jets to Egypt--for FREE!!!

We need to stop the Obama Phone Program.

Welfare recipients should have to pass a MONTHLY drug test to get their checks.

And with all due respect, if you haven't been shot-at in defense of this country (or by just following orders to do whatever bidding the U.S. Government sends you overseas to do with or without a valid cause) then please don't try to dictate Veteran's policies.

- I currently work Civil Service for the DoD.
- I currently draw Military Retirement, VA Disability , and get free (crappy) medical coverage--all since the ripe old age of 37; but hey, I'VE EARNED IT. It is NOT like I sit on my @ss and do nothing and let the governemtn give me hand-outs.

If you sign a contract and swear an oath to support and defend the U.S., then you know what you're getting into...both the possibility of dying young, and the possibility of being partially taken care-of the rest of your life.
