Superintendent Out

What is going on with the school system? Current leader out, old leader back. What gives? The tax paying public has a right to know.

Hollis school is a better place now, I blame our school board menber because they did not have the guts to get rid if him before he almost broke our school, If amy one had any guts this thing with Jon Burns would h not have happen. Why do we waste the tax payer money electing school board member if they can't do the job?

It's funny how yall can't stand when a Black man has gone out and got himself well educated but because he's black it's all his fault. what about Rick Mefford he did'nt know which way was up and i don't see anyone saying anything about him u think it's because he's white?

I realy thought cooper was the man for the job because he was black. When you lose 24 teachers in the frist 2 years that he was here something is missing, when you hire school teacher with out the board ok and when you go out of town to by your heating and ac unit for the school with harmon co. tax money, He told when he came here nothing would be bought out of town for the school, I had a bussiness in hollis and the school did not spend a penny with me.

Well those 24 teachers could'nt stand for a black man to be there boss. We still have teachers in the system that should've gone with the other 24. So he went out of town to get our school system a new ac unit I guarantee you it probably was cheaper and probably ended up saving the tax payers money. Heck theres other organizations that sell things for raising money for our school that go out of town to purchase items that can be purchased here but they go out of town because it's cheaper and no one complains.

I think Mr Cooper did a good job. He must have gotten tired of all that he had to put up with.

Mr cooper did do a great job but look people can't see past his race. And I guarantee you the people that say how horrible of a superintent he was don't even come close to a education he has under his belt. Hollis has good people that still teach here but some that are here just because of who there last name is has got to go. Maybe Mr Robinson can see through all that and get rid of them soon.

I thought Mr. Cooper was a nice guy. The question is, did he misuse or misappropriate District money? If he didn't I am not sure why he was forced out. If he did it is a sad day that his race makes any difference! I wish we could see past race on this kind of issue. We have some quality Black staff members that we can all be proud of just like we have some quality white staff members at Hollis. We should get behind all of them that are good role models for our kids! Go Hollis Tigers!!

MR Cooper is a nice guy and i to wish we could do without race but i've lived in this town all my life and people may think that people here are not racists but i'm sorry to tell them it's still alive and very strong. I've been to a many of school functions and see how Hollis staff members treated him. Just because he was black from the time he got here when a coach down loaded court records from previous acquisitions from where he was in the past and the school board new this but new he was innocent but hired him anyways put these papers in all the restaurants in this town just to try and drag his name in the dirt. So what does that tell everbody--Huh
