Pretty sure there has only been one person to make it at the pro level....Jeremy Parnell. What do I win for answering this correct?

Beth Penn was by far the best women I ever shared a court with. Kim Smith was probably second. Top 5 men would be Joe, Mark Echols, Tim Durden, Eric Mays, and Charlie Donnerson. I was the baddest 9th grade player ever at GJHS!

Joe Harvell is going to be tough to beat as best athlete. People remember him for how good he was at basketball, but what people forget is that he also ran track as well. If I recall, he won State in the 100 his senior year and he also did the long jump. A big 6'7 230 pound guy running the 100 at that level is pretty darn impressive any way you slice it.

Someone mentioned Parnell because he plays at the professional level (NFL); Joe could have played football at a high level as well if he stuck to it. He actually played in junior high and was a quarterback. He had a cannon of an arm for a 7th grader. He would have been a nasty tight end at the high school*,collegiate and if he would stuck with it the next level.

* Just like Charlie Donnerson, another of the Big 3 from that 89 Pirate squad.

I think this year Tayler Jolly and Blake Sullivan are going to do good in baseball. They seem like the best ones that have been a round in years.

Speaking of Tre's, remember Trey Shearin? He was screwed over at Gosnell so his family moved to Jonesboro.

Saw a nice little clip on KAIT where an ASU coach was speaking about Trey and the contribution he was making to ASU.

Beth was good but not that much better than Dement or Ingram.
There were a lot before these girls. Sandra Sellers, Conchita Wilson, Vickie Moore, etc
