Has anyone else had problems with Lowe's paint?

Bought paint from lowe's. Went straight home and started painting not 15 minutes after it had been mixed. Two gallons and one was different from the other. In all the years I've been here, never had that problem with wal-mart or sherwin williams.

Nope ?never had a problem maybe it was just one of those things. Dont they have a machine that mixes the paint?

I am sure if you took it back and explained it they would make it right. Dont get on here bashing a store for a MISTAKE. They happen. Lowes is a great store and Blytheville should be thankful they have it. Have a wonderful day...

Yes the same thing happened to us. We used all of our paint up and took an empty can back and had 2 more mixed. No where near the same color. So what we did was took pictures of one wall with the 1st purchase and then another wall with the 2nd purchase. We had no problems with an exchange they were super nice....just let them know

You should go to Sherwin Williams. Never had a problem with theirs, and the employees know alot about what you need to know as far as supplies, techniques, etc.

oh my gosh... i have had sooo many problems with Lowes paint. The people in our paint department are clueless. No 2 gallons have ever turned out the same for me...not even when I brought the numbers in. very disappointing

NO!! I love Lowes.... they are very helpful & nice!! They even take things to my car for me.

I had problems with primer that they suggested for the paint color i was using. They told me to use a gray primer with my orange wall because it would cover better and more vivid.
1. The orange didnt cover the primer at all on the first coat.
2. The orange covered the white walls that i hit by mistake better than gray.
So i had to go back to Lowes and get another gallon of orange paint.
I let them know that the gray primer they suggested was almost impossible to cover with the orange paint.
The manager said, "What do you expect me to do about that? The computer tells them what to suggest. You should probably take that up with Valspar."

I love Lowes and hope this recession does'nt cause them to close their store in Bville.We only have Lowes, Wally World, and Penney's.I've had no problems there but the store in Jtown could use a lesson in customer service.

I bought some paint about three months ago for my husband to paint out kitchen and bedrooms.

My biggest problem is that it is still sitting by my front door, along with the rollers and paintbrushes. If it were on the walls I'd be much more satisfied with it!

I recently had the same thing happen to me.....bought 2 cans at the same time then saw the different shades after spending several hours rolling and trimming. Getting more paint doesn't make up for all the prep time and painting I put into it. I am very disappointed in Lowes.

HINT: If your buying more than one gallon of the same color,also buy a five gallon empty bucket. If there is a very slight color difference, mix both cans together in the 5 gallon bucket, and then use it. If the color varies alot take them both back and have them remix. They will do it.
