Why cant the mayor accept apps or resume's for the open jobs.
It seems very wrong to hire retired cops so the can double deep on the taxpayers dime. JUST another slap in the face by a crooked politician. He is no better than the last mayor!

Did you ever stop to think that maybe they are not intelligent enough to fill out a modern day application?

I read these on on retired officers and I keep see the words double dripping and taxes payers money. Do you know who the retirement system works. The officer while working for the city has to pay into their own retirement as well as the city. It not taxes dollars they're getting. Now think about this by stay with the city they will get 6% put into a retirement with the city. If the office would take a state or county job they would get more from there second retirement and then add SS to that that retired officer would take home around $5000 to $6000 a month. Staying with the city they will get maybe $3000 to $3700 with SS. Some poeple care about this city and want to stay here.

WHY NOT: I don`t know where you come up with the S.S. and Retirement figures.I wish you had been in charge of figuring my S.S and retirement.I retired from the county and my total checks are about 1/3 of your figures.

City retirement is over 30,000 with 28 year
est. SS is to be 14,000 paying in 51 years
If You take a state job. You would look at 21,000 to 27,000 for 25 years of service.

I don't think the 30,000 is close, course depending on what position you had. Most city jobs don't pay a whole lot more than that.

If he has a job, he isn't retired. Drawing a retirement check and working will keep him from drawing SS.

Ole photo-op ElRoy makes over 40,000 a year for chasing geese, joy riding in a city owned new pick up truck, burning gasoline paid for by the city and smiling when he asks his "ASSISTANT" if anyone called him from the No Smoking in the parks police!

This must be the entry level pay for goose shaters!

Yep, they measure lips and if your lips are big enough to kiss Mayor/King James' ass you are hired!
