How was recital, and how did this studio do at Kar competition?

Recital is gorgeous but the technique in the dancers isn't very good. I think lots of time and money is spent in the "extras" and not getting good instruction. I am so glad we left this place.

Who is dg or ce? Anyway this is just all stuff for kids. My child will try dance at Estrella Gymnastics next week. I think it's good to try different things in life and a combination of both dance and gymnastics might be good. We were at On Stage and they were pretty good. Unfortunately we had to move so I need to find something closer. I've heard a lot about Take Five Dance and it was recommended to me by friends in Litchfield. I guess this is the largest studio around with state of the art rooms. We'll see, I will post later if we try it out there.

I agree that take five has a beautiful facility. Except walls and floors dont make a good dancer, need to look beyond that and check us out. there are studio's that teaches great dance.. There is one upcoming studio in the west valley, that trains and dances like the award winning east side studio's, check out Cutting Edge in Litchfiled park, only open 3 years and winning top awards and scholarships at the best competitions in town. My daughters love it

take five and dance gallerie have been in the far west valley along time, my mom and some of my aunts have gone to take five, I love dance gallerie for the friends and I am not a serious dancer, I take 2 classes for fun. I hope to make my varsity cheer team next year. I did see the new studio in the area, Cutting edge, thier dancers are awesome for thier ages and they do some really great contemporary, I know some parents have rally acted bad and they should really encourage each other. from what I have read on all the studios blogs is that we 3 studios cannot get along, are afraid to try classes at other studios, the owners are afraid to lose student to other studios, etc. I do ask myseld is it really less competitive on the east side of town and do royal and dance connection, etc take classes together? and do some teacher really teach at more than 1 studio? This is something to really look at, cant we all just get along... I know dance gallerie has a few controlling parents and I apologize to cutting edge or take five for any of thier bad behaviour

I think Dance gallerie girl is a pretty sharp kid and obviously is smart enough to see what is going on.. let people respond if they want, obviously you have control issue, egging cars, spying on other studios and now telling kids not to give thier own opinion, maybe you need just open you eyes and see whats going on at your own studio. I think its a little crazy on your part.

yes actually cutting edge has teachers from the east side teach at our studio! no the east valley doesnt have this crazy competetion between studios and look at how amazing they are. they do conventions, master classes,etc. together. i think the west side studios need to get along so that we can take over the east side!!! ha ha but on a serious note ..students should be able to state their opinions and decide for themselves where they wanna take and not be afraid of what the studio owners,moms,or other students are going to say or do to them. its a free country and people have the right to do what they want with out fear or intimidation. like standing outside the back of ced smoking and spying scaring away future students!!

I think she can try either take five or cutting edge and probably enjoy class even more without crazy parents involved in the mess. I think its funny that dance gallerie feels the need to sspy on cutting edge dancers, intimidate dancers who may want to take class or even switch studios and then tell students what they can or cant say... all I can say is WOW.....

I agree, try someone else, I'm sorry the owner wants to guide you thinking and not let you decide what to say or not say. i know parents are crazy and only want the best for thier kids, but most people like to endorse a place where thier child thrives and does well. dancing is not a cheap endeavor it not only is a financial commitment but a parent and child commitment. I like cutting edge, and so do my daughters.
