That's a good start in the right direction.

How about going from "recommended" to "mandatory minimum" and then adding a few more years?

This needs to be done as the current sentences are too short so they use the civil committement process to do what should have been done by the sentencing judge in the first place.

Prison is a lot more affordable than those treatment facilities.

While I am no fan of Cornish, at least his head is in the right place here. Rape, sexual assault and sexual assault of children need some extremely severe penalties to curb the astounding multiple offenses in these areas.

Can't wait to see who votes against this bill.

Now if we can just get some legislation to keep the fine folks of Chicago, IL and Gary, Indiana out, we might actually see some slight improvement over the next few years.

And the bill for this would be a ban on Section 8 housing. Problem solved.
