I must agree with the pharmacists and the others who think this guy is a joke. I went to Auzine for my maintenance meds cuz I had no insurance. The first visit I thought he was a little fishy. I used to manage a multi-specialty clinic w/ 14 drs and never did our docs go out of their respected discipline. This man was offering everything from injecting joints, treating colds, and Botox to pain management. I call him Dr. GQ cause of the way he was so unprofessional. I mean a man kissing a close friend or family member on the cheek of the opposite sex is cool but NOT a new pt. I understand he may have helped some stop taking opiates. Obviously he helped a few stay hooked and enabled them as well. Im sure he did that so he could get them to one day come back so he ciuld make more money giving them suboxone to stop. But he sure did hand them out loosly according to the gross pill heads in the waiting room bragging about how they got their "cets", Xanax and Soma every time they needed. He himself offered me adderall because I'm a young housewife and I was tired that day due to the stresses of the week. I said no thank you of course. But the next person may not and end up addicted because of mothers little helper. what really ticked me off is that when I called back to get my refills called in the next month they wanted to charge me $300.00 just to call them in. What is that? Isn't it illegal? I'd like to know. Everyone should sue him that he charged like that and paid. Thank goodness I didn't. I could keep going but I'm not. I'm just upset that he got off but not totally he can't write scripts like he used to. Too bad he didn't listen to his buddy who saw it coming.

He plead guilty to 5 counts of prescribing pain medications to off duty police officers (some undercover, some not). All officers showed x-rays and complained of chronic back pain. Hippocratic oath says you must believe your patients. He may have got caught up in the “business of medicine” but this was a clear case of the DEA going after a business in order to shut it down. No one fights federal prosecutors if you have something to lose. Plea it out, give them the least you can and get back home to your family.

I called his office to speak with him about prescribing my drug addict brother hundreds of narcs. I wasn't able to talk to him, but spoke to his nurse and I told her how he was snorting his vicoden in front of his kids (thats how I found out). I told her that I knew she couldn't discuss him or his treatment w/ me but I wanted her to know and to let Donald know that he was abusing the drugs that he was getting from them. Plus going to other doctors as well. She said she would. Within about 3 months of that conversation my brother died of a drug overdose a day after his monthly visit to Donald. He left behind 5 children ages 2-20.

Hopefully you will publicize the other doctors that your brother was shopping here so as to spread the word and possible prevent another tragedy. You say Donald was not the only one he was seeing for prescriptions. |

I am so sorry to hear about your brother, honesty I am. But we really can not blain the the doctor for your brother putting pills up his nose?? No one made him abuse the pills. Dr. A was very good to me and helped me to get on social security, I have never had a problem with him.

If he continued to prescribe medications to her brother AFTER he was told that he was abusing the drugs, then he is responsible for his death. If the doc carried medical malpractice insurance, you really might want to talk to a good med/mal plaintiff attorney. It won't bring him back but his children are to be considered. |
