Can I get some feedback on this topic? Curious to know if this is a problem in all of our schools or just ours? Thanks

My child goes to Dutchtown Primary and yes it is a problem. My child told me last night he was slapped in the face but when he told the teacher she said to go wash his face. Why was she not watching? To me this kid should have been suspended or expelled and I should have been notified. Since then this kid has threatedned my child and hit him and now the bully's friend has started to bully my child. My child asked to be moved and was told to go sit down. He is begging me to let him just try the ignoring technique this week. If it does not work, I am going to the school, then the school board and then wherever else I need to go. I am shocked that these things are happening and nothing is being done and half the time, the teacher doesn't even see it going on. So tell me, what is the teacher doing while this is going on?

PLEASE go to the school and DEMAND they do something. I went to my child's school and the didn't do anything like they promised they would. My child was being bullied so bad that she decided after an incident at school last week and no one protected her that she had no choice to but to end her life. Thank GOD she came to me and told me what she did. Now the school wants to do something. But while my child was in the PICU her bullies were still at school. Don't stop until your child is protected. I didn't stop but they failed us. Please do whatever you can. I don't want another family to go through what we are going through. My child is 12 years old.

Go to the school board and keep moving up the chain if command until you gets results. It's a lot of work but don't let it discourage you. Read the schools handbook on filing a complaint and follow through with the procedures they set in place. Record interactions with the people you report to and you may have to contact a lawyer to write a letter or pursue the enforcing of e laws that protect your child. It saddens me to see the school board brag about the schools here when there's no reason to do so. It's very political here and corrupt in the systems. People know each other and scratch each others backs to make themselves and their organizations look good to increase funds and keep their jobs because many lack the ability to actually perform with integrity here in this small town and it's evident in our school system.

There is a student in fourth grade who has failed a couple of years and is older than the other kids. He is disrespectful to teachers, defiantly laughs when corrected, and he has threatened vulgar acts and even to kill another student. His file is three inches thick yet he is allowed to remain in the school causing other students and even teachers to be in fear. This is not ok. Do we have to have a tragedy here for someone to pay attention?

What is wrong with these kids today. Going to Mommy when things are tough. It's a shame. Bullying always occurs. The only way to counter this is to stand up for yourself and Do Not give the bullies any reason to bully. Eye for an eye. The soft little kids today can't handle it. Next don't go to the Principals, go to the coaches to report it, they can deal with the bully in Phys. Ed. If this doesn't work, go to the principal with witnesses. If none of this works, then go to your Dad, not your Mom. Have Dad go to the school to talk to the principal. And then have a meeting with the bully's Dad and the child's Dad, in the presence of the principal. If this doesn't work, home school the kid, because neither the principal, or the 2 Dads have any backbone and will not stop this mess. But 1st and foremost, the child has to stand up for himself. We are raising a generation of Mommy's babies. Toughen them up.
