You would prefer that cities continue to get welfare in the form of LGA that allows them to chase away developers?

The legislature should look at how many guest workers we have in this State. Start right at Target. Maybe if they were hiring Minnesota workers, they would be able to buy these products. The way it was taught to me, the economy is how often you turn a dollar over in your own community. Well, we are real good at shipping them else where but not at turning them over here. The Government is not part of the solution, they are the problem.

Saying the recession goofed up JOBZ is like saying that the snowfall interfered with the plowing. An economic development program is supposed to develop the economy in spite of the economic ebb and flow. Let's not let the guv waste any more of our money by giving it to the business community to develop the economy.

Hard to feel sorry for these so called business people that need welfare from the state to start or continue in business. Let them fail so that the viable real business' that are forced to compete with these poorley modeled state funded competitors can thrive. It is not fair to people owning well a thought out and hard worked for business only to see a competitor open across the street using the very tax dollars paid by them allow a business that could never survive without welfare assisatnce from the state steal business. Good riddence, and I hope they are forced to pay back the money they conned out of us .

Tom Bakk would rather create a bunch of jobs with fiascos like publicly financed stadiums and megamall expansions instead. What a phony.

Pawlenty should quit this welfare program, his shamless promotion of misusing our tax dollars for a bunch of people that are to lazy to work hard to succeed is not nothing more than welfare for his pals. If a business cannot make it on it's own merits it should be left to fail on it's own lack of merit. If these bum's needed help in good times to make it, they are sure to fail in bad times, cut'em loose and make them pay back the tax breaks they agreed to pay back if they did not make it.

One of the keys to future economic growth is inexpensive energy. However, the enviros and democrats won't allow it, and Pawlenty won't fight them. so we're screwed. Isn't that nice?

Cut all business taxes not just the few businesses the state is trying to prop up with some make shift program. These businesses wouldn't even exsist if they were originally left on their own.

They might reach their goals if they could get in the import Chinese business to the USA. We need Americans to distribute, sell, and market these Chinese products in the USA.
