Forest Service To Close Santa Maria Based Firefighting Airbase
A decision by the U.S. Forest Service to shut down the full-service fire airbase at Santa Maria Airport has those living in Santa Barbara County concerned for their safety, along with firefighting response times.

With no fuel truck large enough to fill a P2 without having to refill itself, this decision just increased the refueling time from 15 minutes to over an hour and a half. I sure hope you homeowners on the central coast have paid your insurance, because a WHOLE bunch of your houses are GOING to BURN because of this lunacy. Hollingshead is a moron.
