R Eric Wright does NOT work at CARE Hospital anymore and has not since April 2008. Please remove him from this affiliation as it is incorrect.

Dr. Eric Wright is probably one of the finest Veterinary Surgeons I have ever worked with. You beloved pet will be well cared for in his hands.

Dr. Wright is not board certified and according to the American College of Veterinary Surgeons should not be referring to himself as a "surgeon" or "specialist." These terms are protected by the ACVS. Per the ACVS, "the term “surgeon” can be used only to refer to ACVS board certified veterinary surgeons."

Most of the Veterinary "specialty" associations are a joke. To gain that title of "surgeon specialist", veterinarians are promised an opportunity to train & learn under specialists (for 3-4 years) who will prepare them for the final exam. Over half of the Vets I know were paid below market wages, treated like slave labor, and taught nothing at all. They felt unprepared for the specialist exam. Perhaps its no wonder Dr. Wright completed his residency but never took (or passed) the final exam. Just another micro-political power-trip in the Veterinary profession.

He is an excellent surgeon. He saved my cat's life when diagnosed with a ruptured diaphram. I went to five (5) dfferent vets who all recommended Eric Wright as the best surgeon they knew of.

You are absolutely correct. Dr. Wright's Reception staff tell people he is board certified, which is not only a Lie but illegal as well. I will be notifying the California Board of Veterinary Licensure and The ACVS shortly. They takes these things VERY seriously and will prosecute.

A nice spineless shill, hiding behind anonymous forums. Why are you using an employement posting from 6 years ago to discourage the community and slander Dr. Wright? Is his community support and reputation that threatening to your business? You speak of ethics and professionalism in your post. Maybe one should look in the mirror.

Last I check Dr. Wright didn't even work at CARE when that "specialist" posted. Nice Slandering coward! Pathetic
