You definitely must be a cop kin folk since you spend so much time defending them. Unless they never patrol any side streets, they know where the mexicans turn up their loud music outdoors all the time. I witness it all the time but the cops obviously allow disturbing the peace. One is that short mexican female dyke that drives the black Dodge pickup that lives in one of those trailers on Cato by the cemetery. I hear accordians almost every time I go by there. I even saw her chugging a beer while she was driving the other day.
You would be wrong. I am not related to any police officers, nor am I sleeping with any.
I personally can't stand Ralph Dickey. However, the other officers I have met and dealt with were all courteous and helpful.
As for the Hispanic music, it's not disturbing the peace unless someone calls and complains. There must not be anyone who complains. If it bothers you, call and complain.
I will say that I have met and dealt with quite a few jerks that are officers in Dublin. I think if you lived in Dublin and saw the kind of officers they have, you would certainly appreciate the officers you have in DeLeon.

Sorry. There is another Jace posting comments about loud Hispanic music. I simply said that if it bothered him so much, he should complain.
Everyone does have a right to play their music. However, if it is being played so loud that it infringes on other citizens right to peace, then that is a violation of the law regardless of the type of music it is.

Jace, you sound like you're not all that smart. If the Mexicans are playing their music loud and drunk and yelling and it's disturbing the neighbors but the neighbors don't actually call the police, it's not actually still disturbing the neighbors? What if the neighbors have called the cops before and nothing changed? Many would tend to not keep calling the police because they feel it does no good and that they're annoying the cops. This is often the case in DeLeon. For just one example, there's a house just southwest of the high school on the street that just got paved. Every night that I've passed by there, the music is blaring. It's not my neighborhood, but I feel sorry for the neighbors who have to put up with it all the time, having a bunch of yelling drunks next door to them. It simply shows these drunks have no respect for anyone else. You can't complain to cops about people having no respect. It's a reflection on the citizens here. There are a lot more like them all over town. Funny, I don't see LULAC doing anything about it.

Unless someone calls and complains, the police don't know it's happening. Yes, there is a chance that the one officer in the town might drive by the residence and tell them to turn their music down. However, you can't say the cops know about it and do nothing unless you know for certain that complaints have been made.
Is the music still disturbing the peace even if no one complains? Maybe, maybe not. However, you can't expect the cops to do something about the music if no one complains.
I have a neighbor that occasionally will play his music too loud. Does it disturb me every time? No.
When it does disturb me, I simply walk next door and ask him to turn it down. It's the most amazing thing. He actually complies. I've never had to call the police. Of course I approach him civily and with respect, which most people respond to.
The citizens can't expect their officers to know every single problem going on in De Leon every minute of every day. They certainly can't expect help if they never ask for it.
It's just common sense. Quit complaining to me and complain to someone who can do something about it.
By the way, I am a genius compared to you. Anyone that would wonder why the cops did nothing about a situation that they weren't informed about has no cognitive skills to speak of. After you've retrieved your dictionary and looked up my big words, have someone else read this to you so that maybe you can understand what I wrote before responding in ignorance.

Dear genius,
I've complained to police about loud music before and the police responded but the music got turned back up after they left and the visit from the police never phased the perpetrators. There was no followup from the police. It would have a simple matter to drive by. Law abiding citizens like myself don't wish to be a pest to police or get retribution from the complainee, so I have to tolerate something that actually disrupts my life and I'm put between a rock and a hard place. Jace, you make everything sound so simple and cut and dry. It doesn't work that way in real life. I believe the issue of loud spanish music has been brought up before in the Free Press and I recall someone was labeled a racist because of it. There are neighborhoods scattered all over town that resemble being in a barrio in Mexico.

Again, if you don't call back and tell the police that it has resumed, they don't know. I know you think I am being closed minded. However, I know that in most cases, the police would help you out if they knew there was still a problem and if legally they could.
I do understand about the racism issue. I noticed how fast LULAC jumped on the band wagon and I wasn't even bashing Hispanic music. I was simply saying that if the music bothered the person, complain. Personally, Texas Country grates on my nerves much worse than Hispanic music.
I would really like to know who your neighbors are that cause you so much grief. I have some ideas on how to make them stop.

Surely got quiet after that last post on October 1st; here it is the 15th (I've not been online in a couple weeks due to out-of-town work for which I am truly blessed in today's economy). If the Hispanic beat gets a bit overwhelming up in rural Texas, come on down to H-town (Houston) and enjoy listening to RAP. LOL-- and may Jehovah God Bless everyone since millions of people on Earth believe Jesus Christ brings the Rapture on May 21, A.D. 2011 -- see http://j.mp/depEX <-- for confirmation from the Holy Bible.

If You don't like the way it is then leave it is that simple. There are so many people moving in and think since they don't like the way the town is ran it should be changed. The cops maybe hard to find but if they were pulling you over then you would grip about that. The diesel pick ups that you have such a problem with are how some of those guy make a living so why don't you just learn to deal with it.

Thx for the comment long-haired country boy. I'm glad to be in company with other presumed 'crackheads' such as NOAH. A tiny reminder; just do your due diligence and study the issue praying for the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to Bible truths. Jehovah God bless you and also God bless America that we don't lose our religious freedoms (which is a possibility nowadays). AMEN

Grip about what? What pickups? What the hell are you talking about? You didn't even quote a post. Are you stupid? Are you another member of the cop fan club? If you don't like it here, you can leave, right?

Yes I can agree with that statement about preachers/teachers/evangelists etc. NOT being in Heaven. The worldwide ministry I support has taught for years that the 'Church Age' ended May 21, 1988 and Satan now rules (has spiritual control/power/influence) in ALL churches and ALL denominations. This ministry www.familyradio.com is NOT associated with anyone or any org.; just the Holy Bible as total and absolute authority. They promote and advise all church members to leave the 'church'(in the Bible scripture says to flee to the mountains in these perilous times) and worship individually or in homes as was done in the days of Jesus. The 'temple' in Jerusalem was for the Jews; not for Christians following Jesus. So, I quit the 'church' many years ago and don't attend or support any of them as you suggested I might. I agree with you that most so-called ministers nowadays are preaching a 'prosperity' message and please send your dollars to them. That is flat out WRONG! I do support Family Radio with HQ in Oakland, California (been around since 1958 and is very worldwide in scope). The President, Bro. Harold Camping, is a former engineer and takes $0.00 (zero) income from his teachings. He is nearing 90 years old and in the belief of millions of supporters is being used mightily by Jehovah God as NOAH was used prior to the Flood. So again, don't believe little old me; do your due diligence and ascertain for yourself since it is such an almighty important issue? God Bless you and God bless America and the world in these times of Tribulation (began May 21, 1988 and will continue worsening until the annihilation of the entire Universe on October 21, A.D.2011--- Rapture of the 'ELECT' will occur on May 21, A.D.2011 followed by those 5 months of literal hell on Earth--- then TIME is NO MORE.) www.ebiblefellowship.com http://j.mp/depEX www.familyradio.com
