I hope it was the right verdict! In jail or not he will have to live with the truth as only he knowes it for the rest of his life. I really don't think he will be a threat to anyone else. I feel so sorry for Windy.

I feel that the jury got it wrong in this case. If it was self defense why did he cut her head almost off and if he was so scared why didn't he run from her his friend was outside. If he was a poor person he would have been found guilty!

No way this man is innocent! I'm sure it was NOT premeditated but he could have avoided killing his wife. Knife cuts through the spinal column?!?!? What kind of rage did that require? Definitely manslaughter. But innocent? No way!

Only he knows the whole truth which he will have to live with and face everyday. But there will be another judgement day.

This is absolutely rediculous! This is why we have all these criminals repeating such acts, because we find loop holes to get them out of their crimes. Way to go JUSTICE SYSTEM! As a citizen on this area, I have to say this is disgusting and once again the court system fails us. What is it going to take to lock a murderer up for life? We all will face judgement one day and only he knows the truth, and ultimatly he'll have to live it! My prayers and thoughts go out to his family left to pick up the pieces and move on!

If I had been on the jury I'd have found him not guilty too. The prosecution did not prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I don't feel sorry for the daughter. She's made her bed, let her lie in it. Bet she files a wrongful death suit against her father for money damages. Turner had very good lawyers, but believe it or not sometimes public defenders get their clients off too.

I can not understand how the jury can let someone get away with murder. He will get his in the end the good lord will have his day. If I was on that jury I would be ashamed of myself for coming up with a not gulity verdict. He just reached in his pocket and get his knife . But he does not remember !!!! BS

How could a man take the time to pull out a knife, open it and cut a person's throat to that extent while claiming he was protecting himself?. Could he not have got control of the spear if in fact she was coming at him with it. He is not much of a man and is getting away with murder.

It's not fair to everyone else that was involved in a "self defense" accident who did not get off like Mr. Turner did. I guess it all depends on who you are, who you know, and what color you are. There are people who get charged w/ some type of murder everyday even if it was really self defense.

If he did do it for sure, he is going to have to live with it the rest of his life. In his final light he is going to have to answer to the only judge, the Lord.

I think this one, from the evidence I heard, was right. Remember, people are not presumed guilty. I don't believe the the statedid it in this case. they went to trial with too many unknows.

I can't really say...I wasn't in the courtroom
to see and hear the evidence. All I know is what I've see on TV...

What's wrong with these people? Anyone with a brain in their head could have seen that what Dr. Turner's explanation of what happened which he conveniently could not remember didn't add up. How many cases of self defense have resulted in the attacker's head being cut off? I'd like to know the answer to that question. Secondly, I want to know why the act of cutting someone's head off is not considered excessive force? I don't know, but it sounds to me like protecting the pretty parts got to some men on the jury. Q:--"What would you do if your pretty parts were threatened?" A:--"Why, I would cut her head off." seems to be a perfectly acceptable solution to that kind of problem. I live in Davie County and right now, I'm ashamed of the jury. The criminal justice system is just that, justice for the criminals...screw the victims.

I really hope someone runs against Frank next time! This is a really weak prosecution office!
