Kearney is a one and done DA. A DA prosecuting a summary case. I thought he preached keeping costs down for York County. This cost $1,000! And for what? So he can say he prosecuted a cop.

and I heard that he had his 1st in line assistant with him. So it took the #1 and #2 man in the DA's office to handle a minor charge ?

How many regular people who get charged with this stuff see the THE DA and his #2 man there to handle the case ?? NONE !

I know the cops have to handle these types of cases by themselves in front of the magistrate.

I cant say for sure but it sounds like the drunken idiot who was threatening to kill people needed to be assisted to the floor.

So the cop doesn't do anything until the "major league jerk" threatens his wife and it's a crime. He's lucky all that happened was his candy ass being taken to the floor.

Speaking of candy asses what is the DA thinking? He thinks this is a crime? I guess he is sending out a memo to all police departments that if they respond to a dispute that involves physical touching then they are required to file charges - regardless of whether anyone is pressing charges.

The judge must be a candy ass too. I guess he was in awe of the DA being there. I bet the judge donated his balls to science because he obviously doesn't have a pair.

Detective Baker -$350.00 is a small price to pay to be a man. You did nothing wrong and I hope others would have the stones to do what you did.

I am dying to see the malicious prosecution case that Baker is gonna have against all these people. Starting with that spineless Chief Snyder. Hope he has his affairs in order.

For starters, lets all spell his name right. I am the President of the Korey Leslie Fan Club and he is dreamy. He is like a caped crusader standing up against these big bully DA types. Although he is hairy, he is sexy. I hope he takes this case along with that sexy Detective all the way to the Supreme Court and makes Kearney and Snyder look like the punk asses they are. Go Korey, we love you.

Lets not forget First Assistant Dave McVey was there. And from what I heard, thank God. Kearney tried the case as if he got his law degree from the back of a box of fruity pebbles and McVey had to keep giving him direction. Hey, isn't Kearney the same Attorney who represented Pedophiles in the past. Just Curious.

MDJ Thomas, don't be upset...no one is mad at you since you were scared to make the correct ruling since the DA was in the room. We get it. Just curious, if you or your wife were threatened....what would you do? Walk away, or put a ball bag in his place. Grab your nuts. Kearney cannot hurt you. Or was this deal in place before the hearing.

Good job Kearney!

- when cops do wrong they want to be treated like everyone else, and there supporters say they are people and people make mistakes. If a regular citizen makes a mistake, law enforcement and their supporters call the person a criminal.

Ha. Hypocrites.

If you are a Police Officer and you do wrong, you will be prosecuted!!! No one is above the law, not even law enforcement.

Are we treating the Earth the respect it deserves? How are we treating each other? How do we stop the violence around the world and have peace? These are things we should all be thinking about today. After all a meteor could smash into the earth tomorrow. Can you say that you have lived this life to the fullest? Are you ready to meet your maker? Time for all to look in the mirror and reflect on your mistakes. God knows we all have made them!

Plenty of people have Detective Baker's back but it's not his "higher ups" at the department. Attorney Leslie told the judge he wouldn't be calling them to testify because they developed amnesia.

It is so hard to believe that the District Attorney felt the need to handle such a minor crime, when he is nowhere to be found during more serious crimes. You never hear about him handling murder cases. Maybe it's because he is trying to build his confidence to handle more serious cases. Seems to me like someone has it out for this Tyson Baker fellow (the DA or Newberry Township Police Department), which this is a pretty cowardly way to go about it. Also, there should be a victim for a crime and this case had no victim. So how did the judge find him guilty? Sounds like the judge found him guilty to spare the DA the embarrassment.

Here's an idea...Man up and pay the fine! I'm glad to see Newberry Twp PD / DAs office prosecuted this guy. If he thinks it's ok to go to a bar and yank people off bar stools, DO IT IN FAIRVIEW TWP!!! By the way...Baker was disciplined by his own department too, funny if he's "innocent".

It is a good thing what you did handeling a case you didn't have too. Mr. Kearney, I am sure he knew the backlash of allowing this to move forward. The reason he probally choose to handle the case himself. He knew the message needed to be sent. For him to step to the plate to protect his office attornies, some of them younge new lawyers who have there whole careers ahead of them. No the D.A didn't let some pawn in his office handle it, like the old D.A would have done. Mr. Kearney is sending the message to all the corrupt people in the county. THE REBERT DAYS ARE OVER! The law is the law, now man up and let it go, you made a mistake and it is time to not carry this out any longer. Costing the tax payers money taking this to the supreme court does not show him to be the man, all his supporters say he is. Prove he is the man he says. If he is then he will be man enough to walk away and drop it! Oh yeah that is right, it is the reason he got the charge in the first place. He didn't walk away! Wonder if he learned his lesson. Or you can loose the whole way to the supreme court, becasue he can't be man enough to walk away again! Happy Easter everybody, he died on the cross for your sins. Repent and be saved!

I'm sorry to hear that this had happened to this detective and I really don't think it should have. He was doing what anyone would have done to protect his wife and it happened in a private club. So shouldn't the club be the one's that would have to press charges against someone in this case?
