Two tenths of 1% of all crimes committed were by concealed carry permitees . That equals 200 per 100K.
By contrast (CATO Institute)

"The current US average projected police misconduct rate is an estimated 977.98 officers per 100,000 officers (mean 909.31 per 100k) as calculated using data gathered from all of 2010."

So supportive data shows that cops commit crime at an overall rate nearly 5 timers greater than concealed carry permit holders.

Also, cops crime rates exceed that of the general population in murders and sexual assaults

Plus, being low and slow lets you see more of the landscape.
To me, the nut cases are the ones who qualify for concealed carry permits but are not armed. Just FYI, cops are known to have a higher crime rate than citizens with concealed carry permits. That indicates to me that citizens with training and extensive background checks are more dependable than cops."

Looking more carfully at the stats, it looks like you are 4.86 times more likely to be murdered by a cop than some other criminal. Also, the figures indicate that you are 1.2 times more likely to be sexually assaulted by a cop than some other criminal. The numbers give no clue as to why this travesty is occurring. It does indicate to me that we would be much better off (by around 5 times) cross training teachers with concealed carry permits to protect our children.

A recent study in Texas backs up this conclusion: Concealed carry permit holders do not use guns to commit crimes and they commit crimes of any nature much less frequently than the general population of Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety published a list of crimes committed in Texas in 2011 by everyone convicted and by those convicted who also held CCL's. The bottom line: Concealed carry permit holders commit less than 1% of the crimes. If you want to be exact, they committed two tenths of one percent of the crimes in 2011. And not all of those involved firearms or violence.
The data show that 63,679 people were convicted of a long list of crimes. Of those 63 thousand, only 120 were CCL holders.
<quoted text>
So...based upon your info...120 people were licensed to carry concealed weapons in the state of Texas committed crimes out of the 63k and that is a reason to mandate background checks, inhibit someones right to purchase firearms of their economical choosing and allow illegal search and seizure by law enforcement for proposed illegal firearms?(all ideologies supported by your team mates.)

If that is the case, then I guess there will be no more doctors because we can't have student doctors practicing medicine without a license. Because if doctors with a license practice medicine in a malicious manner, then all those student doctors who practiced medicine under his license, at some point. can no longer be trusted by the public, right??

Life isn't great here in America. My wife and I are leaving, once our obligations are met here first. We do not agree with your team and teammates direction they are taking America. Dangerously close to Germany, pre world war 2.

Perhaps if you focused more on your responsibilities instead of worrying about what I am doing, you might be further ahead in life. Oops, sorry, I slid a word in you probably wouldn't understand...

Oh Waco....tsk. I guess I'm not done here with my little visit with you. Now,are you really so regionally impaired and intellectually blunted by being Texan that you don't realize that everyone in the entire world refers tko all Americans as Yankees whether they like us or not? Regarding your claim to have punched someone in Dublin for calling you a Yankee? Bullsh**. I'm 100% Irish descent and spend weeks in Ireland every year when I can. Had you ever done such a thing for something so stupid as being called a Yankee? Therein lies the problem. The Republicans compromised on the fiscal curb talks and agreed to raising taxes then in exchange for the sequester cuts come Mar 1, to which the Roadshow Ruler agreed. Now that Mar 1st is almost here, the Commucrats and their Roadshow Ruler are reneging on the cuts, instead they're on the fear mongering campaign trail. The Republicans all agree that the cuts WILL happen and have even offered to give the Roadshow Ruler the authority,(something he currently doesn't have), to come in and decide which programs to cut! Again, instead of sitting down with Congress, he chooses to demagogue the very cuts that HE proposed!
The Roadshow Ruler and the Commucrat party is a joke!

No wonder they want to pass legislation to keep the sea level from rising. All your party intends to do is cry for the next four years. If all the people who disagreed with Bush had packed up and left, there wouldn't have been enough left to even call it a country. It's not my party's fault that yours is stuck in the 1950's and have removed yourselves from reality by privatization.
