Goldsboro and eastern North Carolina lost one of its most captivating personalities recently with the passing of Robert "Popa Bob" Swinson, whose career in gospel-oriented radio made him a virtual legend among listeners.

Mr.Swinson was a legend in Goldsboro and beyond. the gospel singings he spnsered in Goldsboro were events Mom,my twin and I never missed. His death was a time to remember and appreciate what these vents meant in my life and the valuable quality time these singings guareenteed with my family.
