My husband and I are looking at properties in the Golden Valley/Kingman area. We are both in our 50's, so we aren't looking for an exciting nightlife. Would like to hear about the pros and cons of moving there. We live at 8,000 feet above sea level right now and want someplace warm, and I understand it gets hot there, so that will not take us by surprise.

It is cold in the winter and windy all year long. GV has a lot of drug activity. Kingman has drugs in some areas. Not the best place to live in the world but better than some other places.

If your not comfortable around white trash then stay away, I moved here for a job and have been sorry. People here don't care about anyone but themselves. If you are dead set on moving here stay away from Kingman or the surrounding county areas, go to GV. Myself I'm moving soon to Prescott.
