As many times as you and your mother have been bit it sounds like you two are the morons. Don't you know how to keep a gate shut? Or is that something the zoo keeper always took care of for you? Doesn't sound like living in a rural environment is something the 2 of you are capable of handling on your own. Someone needs to call Social Services and get the 2 of you placed back in your city "pins" where you'll be safe from all the "vicious" wildlife out there.
I had a delivery job for over twenty years all my dog bites came on that job and were all perpetrated by dogs loose on public property owned by morons that did not know how to keep the dogs in. Each and every one of were taught the price of stupidity. I collected substancial funds from them while forcing three of the four to have their dog destroyed. I killed the fourth one shortly after it bit me. My mother at age eighty was standing in her own front yard picking flowers when the neighbors dog let out by their moron son ran across the street knocked my mother down and bit her throat. Their dog was ordered destroyed by county animal control. When the lawsuit was finished their moron son had cost them both their house and their business. All the above incidents were in the city. I know exactly how to live in rural area I kill loose dogs and I enjoy it. When I called the sheriff to complain about a nieghbors dog attacking my wife and I every time we tried to open the gate to take the car out his advice was shoot it. I did. That same nieghbor has three other dogs, but now for some strange reason he has no trouble keeping them contained. I consider loose dogs a danger all they have to do to survive is leave me be, I don't go out and hunt them.

Are you saying that because people live in rural area they have a God given right to let their dogs run loose?

You are probably one of those morons that think because you live in a rural area it is okay to let your dog run loose. I hope your Vet knows how to treat gunshots and rename your dog target because that is all it is to me. I almost forgot keep ypur checkbook handy.

your nuts, complaining about loose dogs in the middle of the desert. do you honestly think dogs ae the problem? coyotes outnumber dogs out there by a very large margin. you must be from out of state, and moved here for the quiet of golden valley, well you have to accept things as they are. who are you going to complain to when a snake comes in your house? put a fence around your property, or ask the landlord to do it.

Coyotes and other creatures that inhabit GV are part of what makes GV unique. Loose dogs are not, every city in America has loose dogs. If you own a dog you have a responsibility to care for and protect it. If you don't want accept that responsibility let it run loose in GV, it will either get eaten or shot, either way the problem is solved. When you show property in GV do you tell your customers " Being terrorized by the pets of irresponsible morons is part of the charm of GV. " I have a fence around my yard, and don't feel I should have to fight off loose dogs every time I open the gate. So I don't, when they start to growl and threaten me I shoot them. Most wildlife has a natural fear of man, dogs do not, so they are much more dangerous then the natural wildlife of GV.

Wow, I moved to a small town from the city and maybe because traffic is light, nearly everyone seems to let their dogs run loose. I have many times tried to get these dogs so that they are out of the street or don't get hit and half the time some moron comes out of their house and says the dog belongs to them. Really? Because anyone who lets their dog run loose in the middle of the street does not care enough about it to care if it gets hit by a car. I turn these dogs in to the local humane society where the person can come claim their dog and pay if they really care about it or hopefully the dog will end up in a better home. Some of them might get put down but lethal injection is better than getting hit by a car or shot by some redneck dog hater. That's even worse to wound an animal and let it suffer than to just kill it outright. I have never been bit by a dog even when I go up to them. On the rare occasion that one growls at me, I call animal control. Why can't you idiots with guns call animal control? I've had dogs for 28 years of my life and in that time only one dog has gotten loose for more than a few minutes. The rest have occasionally pulled out of the collar and I've been able to catch them. My dogs are not aggressive unless someone comes onto my property and sticks their hand through the fence (there are people in my town stupid enough to try this when I tell them my dogs aren't friendly--WHY can't you shoot people? Some people are just too stupid to live!) but if anyone ever shot my dogs or injured them they would answer to me. You dog shooters are lucky that most of the people who let their dogs run loose don't care enough about them to care if they've been shot. Maybe the dogs are biting you because they know you're all assholes. If laws didn't apply and it was still the "Wild, Wild West" out in Arizona, you people would have significantly more than biting dogs to worry about.

First everyone unfortunate enough to get bit by a dog is not an asshole. Recently a three year old girl was mauled by a dog and came close to death. Her parents would be thrilled to hear you refer to her as an asshole. Second it is against the law to let your dog run loose, yes this is not the wild west so keep your dog contained or on a leash. If you don't want some redneck to break the law by shooting your dog, obey the law yourself by keeping your dog contained. I have been bitten by a dog but doubt if I would shoot one. I do feel anyone threatened by a dog should be aloud to use deadly force as a last resort to defend themselves. Third this is a dangerous place for a loose dog, rattle snakes, coyotes, bobcats and rednecks just to name a few predators common here, that could cause your dog to suffer just because you let him run loose. I have absolutely no use for dogs and I don't consider myself either an asshole or a redneck.

So what you are trying to tell everyone is that you are a neutered whimp that needs your gun to make you feel like you have a pair. I think we all get it.
And what your trying to tell everyone is that you're an irresponsible pet owner that doesn't take care of his animals and will let them run loose!

try getting cats out of your yard. two years ago we had animal control place traps for cats, in one season we trapped 40 cats. that is sick. people want a cat, but let it crap in other folks yards. they crawl on cars piss on widshields...dogs are easy, give them a bone, and they do what you want
