well then, if they can't take the heat they need to get out of the kitchen! they destroyed my 2 nieces and 2 nephews lives... in a matter two week, TWO WEEKS!... the two boys were raped while in a foster care home IN ORANGE NJ... by the foster MOTHER.... i thought they investagate these people?(it's all bullshit! she is so lucky that they dont give me her name...) the whole dyfs system is a BIG FAILURE, its not working! SO THEY NEED TO FIX IT.... i hate them all! and anyone who defends them

The job is hard, the burnout rate is high, and the cases they work with are often tragic. DYFS placed my niece and nephew into foster care. Their mother was is a drug addict, and their father wanted them but the mothers parents also wanted them. Due to the fact that Grandpop was a retired police officer they were given special treatment and became Foster Parents in record time. The youngest (a boy) who they clearly did not want and stated so many times (it was take both or neither) died while in their care after only a few weeks. He suffocated? this death was not investigated and the serviving child was NOT taken out of their care. This entire thing was quickly covered up and the case closed (with the girl still in their custody. So don't even try to tell me that DYFS is doing anything close to a good job. They treat some people like dirt and show special treatment and even let them get away with murder.

by the way. The little boy who died in their care was only 7 months old!
Dad is still fighting them to custody. At this point (3 years later) he would settle for at least visitation!

Warren County NJ DYFS are the most manipulative coniving people ever. It took them over a year and a half to get a child away from the lady down the street who they had proof shot heroine in front of her but I go out to the bar twice a month and have a babysitter so there mother and I can relax and we are the most horrible parents alive. This is ridiculous and myself as well as others are writing a letter to the mayor. [e-mail] if you want to get together and write a letter about this. They need to bother people who NEED the help and not us parents who actually do what responsible parents are supposed to. They banned me from my home and my children cuz drinking twice a month qualifies me as an alcoholic and I am stuck at a friends house and have to go to AA.

Most of you are hiding facts. The Division wouldn't be in your life if you did nothing, and had nothing to hide. Unfortunately, the Division is held back by confidentiality laws, so "it" as a whole of workers and community service providers can't publicly talk about all the good that is done. Quite frankly, if you don't want to be in the system, treat your kids right and meet their needs. It's a very simple equation. I don't care about all the anger and excuses some of you use. If you took a look at case notes, you could see the positive changes that are made in the lives of children.

If DYFS tells you to leave your husband because he leaves you and you stay with him, and he kills you and the kids, the public asks where DYFS went wrong. DYFS isn't allowed to publish that they went through reasonable efforts to prevent the calamity from happening.

If you have tons of money but you have mental health issues which affect your parenting, you can talk all you want about what a great parent you think you are, but remember that DYFS doesn't come into your life for no reason.

Take a step back and analyze. Most of you are blowing smoke out of your rear ends really hard, and are probably omitting facts to make yourselves look good, or you'd be in magazines instead of anonymous message boards.

was in dyfs in 1973 volunteerily by my mom ...dyfs neglected to maintain proper files during case management and neglected investigations to obvious hints.they violated my rights as a civilian and there is no way to win against them they even haunt my family name like a curse upon us and future children with misleading info from people.They lack to work with the family and produce resources way after problems are out of control due to inadequate staff at times.dyfs ruined my life placing me and my family in homes wher the father was a war veteran and child molester who held a post office job and a mother who was abusive physically and mentally .At the age of 18 i saved my life with a real honest sincere worker who knew what the horrors were ill never forget his name charles imbergamo.I escaped dyfs but not the pain it caused and lost of childhood into welfare stripping drugs and kids adult prostitution while continue to strive for positivity with what i ve been given and trained to be ......god bless the child whose worker isnt efficient i wish you can let me know how to put my name on every lawsuit against dyfs from queens ny archer ave..im 40...good luck to all who must deal with dyfs and may children just be safe!everyone is not bad u can get help just not the wrong home.my heart goes to u all.
