Im new to the Alton/STL area and am looking for a new go-to salon. After setting an appointment with Lewis at Vintage Hair Salon in Alton two days in advanced, I showed up to my appointment 10 min early. Never got greeted or asked my name when i walked in, although many stylists looked over at me. No big deal; they all looked busy. I took a seat and proceeded to wait for 20 minutes past my appointment time, still not a word from my (or any) stylist. The stylist who was scheduled for me (Lewis, the only male) was just chatting with others, glancing over at me once in a while but never a word. I understand if they cant help me right at my appointment time, but at least let me know that you havent completely disregarded my (uncomfortable) visit. I ended up leaving, walking kind of slowly out to see if anyone would step up and try to fix the situatuon. Nothing.
I dont recommend to new clients- seems they strongly prefer the regular locals who are already established customers.
We, at Vintage Hair Salon, would like to appologize for the poor service you feel you received at our salon. We value all of our customers, both new and old. Creating a great salon experience for our clients is our top priority. Lewis gives his sincere apologies.
