Why is G'ville getting to be so bad?

I just dont understand why.There are so many sex offenders and drug dealers and so on.Is this what kind of town you and your kids want to live in.Its to bad because it was a nice quiet little town and now forget it.As you heard you cant even walk the bike trail anymore at night or anywhere for that fact.Just like that poor girl that got raped at Quigs bar.I can go on and on about the things that went on in G'ville.Its just so sad to see this town go down hill.I just hope you people wake up before its to late.I think pretty soon we have to walk around with tazers and pepper spray.Maybe we should hire a bodyguard.LOL!!But anyway its just to bad that it is the way it is.I really do feel sorry for you.I hope one day it gets better for the kids sake.So tell me what you think about Gloversville.I want to know.

Why is Gloversville so bad? Where to start - at the top of course. When the city is allowed to run amuck, including the non-stop shenangians of the Office of the Mayor and the Gloversville Police Department, this is what you get, a city at its worst. There are many decent, hard working citizens and taxpayers who are fed up. So voters get out there and do something about it.
VOTE NO CLO AND NO HUGES!!!!! Let's clean up our city starting at City Hall.

One only needs to read the local paper to realize how out of control the Gloversville politicians and police are and have been. Better yet, read an out of town paper for unfiltered news. They have been exposed over and over again, and this is only what the public is made aware of, yet it continues. Let's vote some "honest, hardworking, decent" candidates into office to bring badly needed change. VOTE NO CLO AND NO HUGHES!!!!

The city has a huge wealth divide, terrible location and all fun activities are outlawed. We live in a reactionary republican controlled police state and city. Thats why it sucks. How about a little freedom to make people want to stay here? Other wise just put cameras up on every corner and arrest everyone for "drug crimes" and "sex crimes" which are not actually crimes at all. We have a 37% voting rate and most of the people are voting for republicans. This is what you get.

I used to live in Gloversville! It was a shit hole when I lived there and that was back in the 80's! That city has a large population of inbreed rednecks, drunks, screw ups, wanna be tough guys, and child molesters. The average I.Q. is around 70 tops. A good night out on the town is drinking beer, bowling, drinking more beer, darts, smoking cigs, and drinking more beer. Besides the mullets, beat up hot rods, and buck teeth looking muthas, there is always the occassional rumpus room gathering at Quigley's. What a shit hole place to live. I feel sorry for anyone still stuck in that non-existant city.

Now this is a perfect example of a redneck who lives in Gloversville, NY. And just think, there are plenty more such as this guy running around your city. Like I said, the average I.Q.is around 70 tops but might be lower after reading this guy's post.I would say 50 at the most!

I understand where you all are coming from. But it depends on where you live in Gloversville. I have always lived in the wealthier part in Gloversville and come from a very good family in Gloversville. My family and families like mine have tried very hard to make Gloversville a better place but it is very hard when people are coming up from the cities and its easier to get a nice welfare check here! And how do you guys expect the mayor or most of the police officers to care when they get paid like crap. Ever heard of Job Satisfaction? The mayor gets paid around 50 grand a year? I think it is easy to hide behind a computer screen and say rude things about Gloversville. Maybe try and do things to help our community instead of bashing it!

Gloversvill sux because their systems are failing. Dss is supposed to protect the children and insted protect their abusers, causing some prety messed up adults as a relult of messed up childhoods. The cops are lazy, I mean when someone reports a rape or a beating their response is : " there isn't enough officers in right now call back tomarrow" Or " one of our officers will contact you when they have time" 2 mins. later they drive by with nothing to do. The landlords are allowed to be slum lords, with no reprecussions, wellfair moms are allowed to have 6,7,8 kids and the county foot the bill no questions asked, no drug test required. While people who work every day wonder how they will feed the one child they have.Or how the rent and national grid bill will be met at the same time, and there is the boss with the cup again.
Gloversville isn't willing to revamp it's curropt and failing systems, It will NEVER get better.

Gentrification. That is what is happening to Gloversville. Big cities are getting more exspensive to live in so, those who cannot afford to live their move to small town where they can afford to live. It's just that simple. Eventually, slowly but surely Gloversville will become too exspensive and those who cannot afford to live will move to the next town.

you left out the Brooklyn Crack Dealers who found Gloversville; Quigleys owner must be mafia to have stayed open that long....Bloods are in town, goobers!
