The state should be taking the farm raised elk, who shouldnt be in Vermont in the first place, instead of the poor moose. Dear God, this country has dissolved into a Police State......the moose is not hurting anyone or anything....you know they gonna kill it too. Kill first and ask questions later is the new Fish and Wildlife Policy.........must be training these officers with the State Police......what a screwed up world we are living in.

Save Pete!! If there are wildlife specialists allowed to rehab/care/raise wild black bears why is it not ok for this gentleman to save and heal a young calf (Pete) from injuries sustained by domestic animals. What this man has done was humane and logical. SAVE PETE!!

I don't know the whole story ..and perhaps shouldn't be commenting...however....I say leave
Pete alone with his "father"...and use the time
and money to take care of crime..real crimes ....

any other animal line would be possible to inter breed with man opps sorry all others aren't safe to have a Vermonter breed with them. By the time that farmer got his ladder set up the moose would move or duty call.

I'm glad we've spent so much effort keeping Pete alive. He is a good moose, a good father, and a hard worker. I'm also glad we gave up wasting our time trying to save the humans hooked on drugs, having children, and stealing from the residents of Orleans County, all while being paid by state entitlement programs. I love Vermont. Thank you governor.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Leo

There's an erratic quality to the day, thanks to the Full Moon in emotional Cancer, combined with a lunar eclipse. Loved ones are likely to behave in ways you hadn't counted on. The only way to cope with this is to be as flexible as possible. Someone might change an arrangement at the eleventh hour so you have to think on your feet, or others may be determined to do their own thing even though it doesn't suit you. Get any arguments out of the way quickly so you can enjoy your New Year's Eve celebrations with a glad heart.
