While this would be a really fun and exciting experience for families, most of us middle class, working americans simply can't afford it. So, although we don't live far from it, this is one "staycation" our budget won't allow. We loaded up the cooler and took a one day road trip to PA recently and learned a lot about history, visiting sites that were all free of charge and really enjoyed ourselves.

Have to agree with "Unfortunately"; our family is on a 1 income budget so this is definitely not an option for us at all. Sure looks fun though--maybe if we ever win the lottery, LOL:)

Actually camping out with the family for a weekend is one of the more affordable ways we find to spend quality time together! This is a safe place and there's lots to do for no additional charge! We love fishing in the private stock ponds and hanging out by the pool.
Even the cabins are affordable here if you go rustic bunkhouse style. It's definitely a good time! Hope you can make the trip someday too :)

great place to spend a vacation or just the day. wonderful horses, well trained and well cared for. Not sure I follow the comments about price; hard to believe any other experience could be better priced.

This would be a lot of fun, but it's a bit pricey for families with more than 1 or 2 kids. For those of you that aren't aware, there is an additional fee per person. I could name many, many more activities much less costly, I'm the queen of planning "free" or "next to free" activities for our family. Not to say that this wouldn't be a great idea for those that are able to afford it, I'm sure it would be a blast. As for the rest of us on a budget, we understand and know how to plan activities or mini vacations that don't break the bank. For those of you not on a budget, I say go for it and enjoy it.

I don't think the price is too high if you plan for it. The memories you will have forever. The people are great and it is a great experience. As someone stated earlier if you cannot afford a cabin then just go camping .It is a beautiful place..
