Be considerate of what you post. I know the family and I know James is a father of very young kids and they are all very close to him. He was a nice guy that would do anything to help someone out if he could. His family will need everyones prayers in this hard time.

The power of water can be deceptive. I was on a flooded road years ago just 15 miles from there. The water was probably only 20" deep and I felt my car being nudged sideways by the mild current. Another time I had to wade through about 12 - 14 inches of rapidly moving water, gravel, and mud from a flash flood from my house to my truck. No way could I have stood up if I didnt have things to hang on to on the way. The mud and gravel make it real strong. I also rescued 3 cats along the way that were stranded on top of stuff.
So, its not as hard to get in trouble in a flash flood as people think. You have to just learn from hearing of things like this or to have experienced it and got lucky.
