I work for delaware county regional sewer district. I would be willing to pick up my pension a little more if they did a fair wage study and give us the 22% raise to bring us up to average. We are so underpaid it makes me sick. This so called moral party has no morals at all. They refuse a fair wage to the skilled tradesman like me I make 14.80 an hour. I am a skilled hvac tech , electrician , and mechanic. I have been at Delaware for 2.5 years and if I was with Lake county ( second wealthiest delaware is the first) I would be on the 23.78 pay step. These counties are on similar population and political make up. Why are we so far behind. They paid Johnathan Downes more money than it would have been to give us a 2% raise. I have 3 children and work sick and injured at my second job to make ends meet. Look how many people in the sewer district who has retired. Maybe one or two. Now compare that to the dozen who has worked them self to being disabled and tell me your commissioners and human resources are doing a good job.
(delaware is in lower case because the do not deserve capital letters.)

Your union really sucks at its job.

Hold on a second...yep, that IS their job...to protect the tenured at your expense. No surprise.
