Kasich, like many other Republicans, is following the dictates of Ayn Rand's sinister philosophy. Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, and the Tea Party publicly adore Ayn Rand. Anton Lavey, founder of the Church of Satan and author of the Satanic Bible, shared their adoration of Ayn Rand. Lavey said, "Satanism is just Ayn Rand's philosophy with ceremony and rituals added." The atheist Ayn Rand despised Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and a host of American social safety net programs and wanted them all abolished. Rand preached total unabashed selfishness. Rand despised the poor and working class as, "parasites feeding on the wealth amassed by the industrialists and their intellectual superiors". Rand in an interview with Mike Wallace, said she wouldn't feed the masses if they were starving, even if she had the means to feed them. Rand said, "Christianity, altruism, and philantrophy are signs of weakness in an industrialized nation." Rand despised public schools and wanted them abolished as well. The Bible says, "as a man thinks, so is he".
