The judge (if you can call him that) and Troy, his buddy, have reiterated that Gloucester County and the 40 have to pay the supes' legal fees. How? Since they can't vote to make that happen ....

Vote for Carter Borden. Hope TA is even now saying goodbye to any friends she actually has in NACO.

Such bitterness only breeds bitterness. Lift yourself above the doldrums and embrace happiness.

Judging by the underhanded way she was "elected" to the NACO office, I imagine they see her for what she is by now. Come November, they will no doubt be relieved to see an end to their embarrassment, just like Gloucester County.

Well, bill, we'll be a lot happier come November when TA is voted out of office. And the entire county will rejoice two years later when Ressler, Crewe and Woodard are gone.

This does not excuse the fact that Parker was muzzled, the Geneal Assembly acted upon the sanctioning of the petitioner's, under the chilling effect the First Amendment stands for.
A third grader should be able to tell you that.

Not only has this mire gotten attention around Coast, some kids have written compositions about the Constitution since this began, for class projects. It should be a fundamental LAW to know the laws of your state and Constitution.

Immigrants gaining US Citizenship have to KNOW more than OUR own do. Interesting.....

Maybe some local legal scholar can figure this out: how can a judge order a county to do ANYTHING? Especially since the county was not the defendant. I predict that some very bright first-year law student is going to write an "A" paper on this whole fiasco in the coming months. Can't wait to read it.

A judge can hold the county officials for contempt, but that would be a stretch. I would venture to say, if the county chose to ignore the order, Troy and company would bring the county before the judge (county attorney that is) and order payment. And if the county ignored that order, he could hold someone in contempt, maybe the chairperson...*L* that would be funny.

BUT, the county did not hire Troy, et al. Each of the four supervisors hired their attorneys as individuals, if I'm not mistaken. And, since there would be a conflict of interest if any one of them voted to pay the legal bills that they
ran up that only leaves three supervisors to vote yes or no on paying. Since that is not a majority vote, would that be legal?
Maybe the Daily Press would consider writing a series of articles that would clarify some of these issues, because it seems pretty murky to me. In the end, it may come down to a civil suit between the attorneys and their clients. Ah, justice at last.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
