I feel that your early picture on the internet is very tasteless and inconsiderate. The Authourities have yet to release the information regarding the two victims involved, yet you have a picture of the license plate - maybe you are unaware of how easy it is for people to get the name of that person involved by seeing that license plate. Where is your respect for the families involved?

I feel sorry for both families involved, yet I'm alittle worried about how it all happened. Why was this young man going do fast? Why did he go over the center line? What was he doing that he did not see the other car? I hope he will be ok and I will pray for him and I do know that it is a accident. Yet a fine lady who was loved by many and loved life is no longer with us.

This is a classic case of a young driver without experience! Trying to pass when he shouldn't have been. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the innocent elderly woman who happened to be in the wrong place and the wrong time. She will be greatly missed for she was loved by many.

Don't know all the details of this accident but this isn't the first time something like this has happened on that road between Starbuck and Glenwood. Makes me wonder if about the legal driving age. Is 16 to young to be driving?

I am thinking of him and his family and i think no family should ever have to go through this. Yet if what I hear is true and he was texting when this happened. i hear is true. Then we need to take a long and hard look at the texting and driving issue. I hope the school in the area use this situation to show why texting and driving is not a good combo.

I came up on the accident only minutes after is happened. I find it funny how everyone has "info" on what happened. I don't think we should be saying too much until the official report comes out. When I had to drive back toward Starbuck later that morning, I noticed that there was absolutely no skid marks. We don't know what happened, so please be considerate for all family members sakes. My thoughts and prayers are with both families.

How dare you call this person retarded. Have you been in this type of situation before? Trying being a little more considerate!

Please do not ask questions in reference to pointing fingers at the young man. He has a lot more experience behind the wheel than you know; for you to come to conclusions like that is rude and inappropriate. Please remember there was another person involved in this accident and it is not know what happened. We cannot point fingers, nor can we assume what was going on during this accident. Please do not take it upon yourself to judge, you were not put on the earth for that. I think you should really consider the families involved. I am sorry that a life was lost and my heart goes out to her family; but, we need to think of the family of the young man as well. This is a very difficult time for them and very few of you know them so please keep it to yourselves. Like I said you have no idea what truly happened so why don't we just keep it to ourselves. This young man needs your thoughts and prayers, please show some respect.

It's funny how everyone seems to thinks it could never happen and everyone, especially people that were not even there have all the answers. Do you KNOW that he was on his phone? Do you KNOW what happened? NO, so really stop making assumptions trying to make the 16-year old the one who was in the wrong when you really have NO idea. The only people that KNOW what happened are the two people in the accident. He is fighting for his life, and all most people can do is say how irresponsible he is and how he's at fault. HONESTLY stop pointing fingers, and HAVE SOME RESPECT!!

"He also says state patrol is investigating every possible cause of the crash. They have not yet determined who is at fault or what caused either driver to cross the center line."
Why are we so quick to assume the young man was guilty? Let the police do their job and the truth will come out in time. Meanwhile, please show some respect to both families involved. This is devastating to both communities and all the people that know these two families. This is a time to pull together, not place blame!!
