And I believe that if the Glenwood Police Department didn't call in a false alert of a "hostage" situation to the S.S.E.R.T. team, and handled the situation themselves with their citizen of 46 years, it would not have ended in his death. The GPD escalated the situation out of all proportion. They knew first hand from Robert Lyons' adult children who were on the scene from the beginning until the tragic end, that there was no hostage situation - their father was at home with only his wife. I hope all the other suburban communities take note of this tragic situation and be very, very careful before they put a call into the S.s.e.r.t. The only way they will come out is if it is a truly dire situation. That's what they were told, which which turned out to be a false call. Hopefully this will come out in the Illinois State Police Investigation.
