We would like to thank Bill & Genea Stoops for the incredible work they do all over the US saving horses & large breed dogs. Their work started in Glenwood, IA & the Nebraska area. For some time they have been doing work all over the US transporting into their resscue both horses & large breed dogs who were on deaths door and had no hope. They rehab them and give them a reason to live at their no kill rescue/shelter in Glenwood, IA. Check out their articleWoman's World Magazine did August 10, 2009. It is a beautiful article about a couple who continues to give animals a second chance at life.
We are proud to say we Volunteer at this rescue and know this wonderful couple.
We support the work they do and we hope everyone can help them in some way to continue the work they do. Visit their website and see the miracles they have made happen for so many horses & large breed dogs. http://hoovespaws.org

i WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS POST, I am curently in the starting procedre of opening a nom profit No kill shelter. The amount of property will let me decide the height of harboring animals. Because I had a step father who seemed to shoot every pet I loved it was often my dream to take in domestic as wel as injured wildlife and nueter them well. I am 56 yrs old and a mason but after the surgery on my rotator cuff I decided enough is enough and pursue this goal. II am even trying hard to ask the loal nfarmers to donate a few acres in the suburbs for noise reasons.
If I am successful I can expand property's later. My highest goal would not be limited to a petting farm on the sanctuary It was to bad I was poor rather than wealthy with my feelings of gods creatures. In the wilderness of New England I raised many wild animals I kept hidden in small cages in a cave. I fed them often and when needed I took them to a Vetand used my money I recieved employed at the farm six miles down the road. I was young and often the vets asked for nothing due to my noble dedication to the animals. I have studied wildlife and the migrations in birds late in life. With no ncle in the senates seat I found it impossible to get a job as a state parks caretaker. But with help of caring people I will piece this together. I own three german sheppards and a japanese cheng whith three legs we rescued a day before being killed at the shelter. I have to stay out of there! I would take that overflow as a last resort to these creatures, But at the moment I can not and it saddens me. Horses take a considerable amount of land o a paddock at least and that is why I am hoping to achieve a good size parcel. If its alive dont kill it. My non Profit org is going to be called "Noahs Ark" for the salvation of our furry friends. David
