Second district fiscal court magistrate Steve Bledsoe brought a motion before the fiscal court meeting yesterday to waste taxpayers money once again changing the name (and street signs)of Whispering Creek Lane to Leveridge Court! Coincidently convicted drunk driver Russell County Commonwealth Attorney Mathew Leveridge has built a new home in this area! Do taxpayers really need to subsidize the name of a common drunk who has been a disgrace to our county ?

Why bother to change the name of the street at all? If Leveridge wants some recognition, let him put up a sign at the end of his driveway: "Leveridge Drive" or "Leveridge Boulevard", whatever he wants it to read. Let him pay for the sign. Simple solution. Vote Dobbs for Sheriff!

Do taxpayers really need to subsidize the name of a common drunk who has been a disgrace to our county ? Nothing wrong with a family name on a street. It helps identify the areas of the county and where people live. There must be dozens of streets named for families in the county. Leveridge is a respected name in the Jamestown area and I see nothing wrong with spending a few bucks changing the name if the fiscal court wants. If you stripped the family names off streets where family members made a mistake in life it would break the budget to rename the streets. If everyone had the character of our Commonwealth's Attorney it would be a better place to live.

Actually I think many PRIVATE DRIVEWAYS have been illegally blacktopped at county expense in the past in the lower end .

Remember no statute of limitations on felony crimes in Ky.
