Taser Incident: How can it even be thought to allow these police officers to continue to work?! They tased a 76 year old man, with a 9 year old child on his lap. Not only did they tase him once, but SIX times!!! Why? Because he was driving an antique tractor in a parade. He was towing older women to the park - where the parade ended. Police wanted him to turn one way, he wanted to continue to the park where he was suposed to go for the drop off of the riders, and the tractor pull he was included in.
The tractor was traveling at 2-5 mph. The police put MANY people, including MANY children in great harm when they SPED to the tractor, SPUN in front of it to stop it; then tased the driver when he did not immediately jump off the tractor at their command. Do you blame him? He was in the parade. A quiet, small, friendly parade.
Do the townspeople have faith in any of the officers now? Maybe the officers should go through real training. Were they trying to kill the 76 year old man who was speeding at 2 mph with a child on his lap on an antique tractor on a parade route? What is wrong with these people? What is it with the Chief, who does not even live in town? What kind of people does he hire?
Don't let this incident get swept under the rug. This is serious.
