It has come to my attention that our county tax dollar funded EMS are using ambulances from our county to do transfers from other area hospitals to Savannah, Macon and Augusta and the people they are transporting are not residence of Tattnall county . Meanwhile leaving our citizens shorthanded without an ambulance in the county at times. We are fortunate to have three staffed EMS stations in the county. If they are on transfers for other counties who will respond to your emergency? I urge all citizens to contact their county commissioners and chairman to stop this waste of our taxpayers dollars and help keep the citizens of Tattnall county safe. Who knows it may be you or your loved one that needs that ambulance.
