I first got introduced to a basement waterproofing system when I was working on my father-in-law's house. They live in a very moist part of the city where there used to be a swamp. I didn't know they made those systems to keep water from coming in the basement.

I'm looking to get my basement waterproofed this winter season. I can just foresee some problems with the snow sitting around and seeping into my basement. What are some things I should know about waterproofing? Hopefully we can get it installed before Christmas!

Waterproofing is important for basements, but it can also be helpful in bathrooms. Leaky caulk can let floorboards warp. Keeping the area around toilets and showers protected is another use for waterproofing sealants. http://www.standardroofing.net/waterproofing....

We are entering the rainy season here where I live and I want to get my basement waterproofed. I have had some friends get their basements waterproofed and I always thought that it was a good idea. This rainy season is supposed to be really bad and I just want to be prepared. Hopefully we will be able to get the basement waterproofed in time for the bad weather.
