A travesty is taking place in Berkeley County in the Gerrardstown-Inwood district with regard to North Mountain Shale and Continental Brick being given permission to bring its industrial strip mine operation smack dab in the midst of a residential neighborhood.

Big business take presidence over the needs and demands of long time residents. County officials will not b impacted by the impact strip mining will produce.
