Maybe it would be better if you turned off your computer, because you sound like a fool when you type remarks like these.

maybe your parents want to hear about your over-active bowel movements or maybe you Arby's friends, but not the rest of the world keep that to yourself in the future, and to hannah is it possible that maybe your dad and uncle just got drunk and shot a deer and were stupid enough to get caught, i think your just making yourself sound a touch welfare by saying they killed it for food. by the way im pretty sure food stamps are cheaper than bullets....welf

I know one of these guys, and it is stupid. Do you know how many people kill deer when it is not in season? Some people will drive up and down roads that are known to have a lot of deer on them just to hit them with their car or truck. Then they will file accident reports and get new vehicles or get theirs fixed. It THAT right? I like the comment about the shoot a deer go to jail, rape someone and get a slap on the hand. Truest thing I have ever read.

To super nerd: Neither of these guys were on welfare moron. One person said that one of the guys worked at Kraft. Must be the one I dont know because the other worked at a place called Hi-Lite at the time. GREAT money working there. This I know. So kindly go f yourself. I think that it is great that this girl is sticking up for her father.

I don't know about one guy, but Mr Marolf worked at Kraft which is the best employer in Lewis County and pays well. They even have buy options in products that are very cheap. There was no reason to shoot a deer out of season and at night, then hide it, and act like they did nothing wrong. This one stupid mistake put Mr Marolf on unemployment. HE lost his job. Was it worth it? If food was so important, like I said before, get your mother to go to the food pantry and get free food. I know she struggles because of family situations, but people can get help. Your father was a drunk jerk.

Uh, I am not related to either one of the guys. I was just stating how stupid it is that they got into such trouble for it. People do it all the time.

People doing it all the time doesn't make it any more right or legal. So if they both had great jobs, then the claim that they did it for the food is bogus. I agree with I'm the One Who Knows. I suspect it's something they've been doing for much of their lives. And THAT doesn't make it any more right either, it just means thay haven't gotten caught before. Now they did, deal with it.

I dont think her point was that they NEEDED the food. I think that it was that they ATE it, and didnt just kill it and leave it to waste.

If you have read the previous comments, the daughter stated that is was for the food. She has made it sound like they needed the deer for the food. and that should make it okay to shoot deer out of season. They did wrong, they can pay the price. Heck, I don't even like to eat deer, but our family hunts and they eat the deer. They do it the legal way, during the day, with a license and not out of season. That is my point. If you need food, go to the food pantry. What's more shameful, going there, or getting arrested and losing a good job over something so stupid.

I just don't understand why some people think that they are above the laws and rules? Do people believe or think that these laws and rules were made for other people and not themselves? This is not just for hunting, but laws in general, or take rules and policies that you might have in your work place. The deer season is set by NYSDEC and it clearly states when, where and how you are suppose to hunt deer, I just don't understand why people just can't follow the rules.

No, I am not against hunting, my husband hunts, his Dad hunted all of his life, I just believe that you should follow the rules. If people can't follow the rules, then they deserve to get caught and pay the price for hunting out of season. I can't imagine being that stupid to shoot a deer out of season, being arrested and then loose my good paying job because of it. Try explaining that one to your children!

No. He didn't lose his job for illegal activities..His wife had a baby and was trying to go to college so he helped her out. And the whole "stalking a woman" yeah ok. My grandmother lives on a farm that the family has owned since I was little Karen Severs was trying to take away all the land and tell my grandmother who is like 70 something that she couldn't even go for a walk down an old path that she has walked for years. The only place she was being allowed to go was the lawn. Karen was riding her bike at like 6 o'clock in the afternoon and my dad stopped and confronted her. I was with him. She called the cops and said that he tried to "touch" her. Yeah. I think if a 6'1 250 pound man wanted to rape a 5'4 like 145 pound woman he would have. Get the facts straight before you open your mouth. And DWIs...Who the fu*k in Lewis County doesn't have them??!! Wow. That's a big worry huh? And to the person named Lowville: I agree. Put in jail to eat and slapped on the had for murder. Good ole' Lewis county. Is this all anyone does? Gossip about other people? Why don't you worry about your own lives instead of others. If you don't like what's going on around you then move. Obviously my dad didn't do enough "bad damage" to be talked about behind his back from a bunch of cowards who use nicknames to protect themselves. Grow up.

He didn't lose his job because of that. I am his child and I would know. Learn the facts before stating false information.

Hey hannah- the people stating false information about your dad can be in a lot of trouble if you/him wanted to push it that far. Personally I think people should do that when their names are put out here with false information. Nobody is perfect... however, on this topix.net site- it's obvious many people think they are. Sad sad sad. Btw- hope you liked your oldschool yearbook pic!

If you read my post, you would find that I said "my job" not your father's job - big difference between the two. I was not stating false information, I was giving my opinion and I was putting my opinion in the context of myself.

Well I don't think it would come to that..My dad did do alot of wrong during his lifetime but I think everyone has. And besides that I don't think it's right for anyone to judge what anyone did..They should look at their own lifes.. Topix is just another Lewis county gossip site..The gossip never ends.. On here or in the town.
