For years the residents of Glendora, California 91741 & 91740 have complained to the Glendora City Council about excessive speeding vehicles on Glendora's City streets.

Now it's happened, AGAIN. Another traffic accident and another death of a long time Glendora resident who was in a City Owned vehicle known as Dial-A-Ride.

This van was hit at the intersection of Glendora an Gladstone around 5:00 pm this evening a male passanger about 77 years of age was killed in this intersection accident, where one vehicle ran a red light and hit another.

Can you name the residents that have complained? You don't count because you complain about everything and it never matters.

Be sure to consult Ed on this as you two share a brain.

Since it's obvious he never gets his facts right I'll bet that when the story comes out in the paper about this accident the first post will be pretty much entirely wrong.

So there are real accidents that take place in Glendora, California after all and speeding was at the heart of the fatal accident?

More reasons to listen to those who know better than the deaf Glendora City Council and City Manager.

A 77-year-old driver was killed and several people were injured when he allegedly ran a red light triggering a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The driver's dog may also have been hurt in the 3:24 p.m. collision at the intersection of Glendora Avenue and Gladstone Street.

The man was identified as Clark Allen of Fontana.

Well well well, Markie is wrong again. #1 The identified man is not a long time Glendora resident. #2 It occurred at 3:24 p.m. not 5:00 p.m. #3 He was not in a city owned Dial a Ride Vehicle. #4 No mention of speeding, he ran the red light. Markie lies, lies and lies some more. Get your facts straight before you post Markie.

I live right by the accident and it did not involve a city owned vehicle. The 77 year old man was from Riverside county. He was driving a privately owned pick-up truck and ran a red light. This caused a collision with one van owned by Aurora Hospital and one owned by a private transportation firm contracted by another private agency to transport developmentally delayed adults to and from their day programs. The driver who caused the accident was the only fatality.- The story was in an inside page of the Tribune on Wednesday.

Also the driver of the vehicle had a dog in the car which was injured. Perhaps the accident was due to having an unsecured animal in the cab of the truck?

Wow Markie, guess you're upset again that you've been shown to be nothing but a liar. Get your facts straight before you post and you won't look like an ass so much.

PS for some reason that I haven't figured out this site says I live in Ontario, CA. But I do live in Glendora very near the accident site. Last year the City put in a traffic light at Glendora Avenue and Juanita and there has actually been an increase in accidents since that time.

We residents of Juanita Avenue have been trying for years to get a couple of Mid-block Stop signs to slow the traffic flow on our street. People use it as an alternative to Gladstone and/or Arrow Hwy. I can't even let my kids play in the front yard for fear they will be hurt.

Yes, I agree the people incharge of the safety of it's citzens on and off the road ways in Glendora, have failed to the point of deaths and injuries mounting through out.

We signed a petition and presented it to the City council about 4 years ago - they referred it to the traffic enforment who denied it stating it would disrupt traffic flow. Juanita is not classified as a residential street even though there are no commercial businesses there. It's considered a feeder.

I don't really expect much from City of Glendora as the concerns of the residents living South of Foothill Blvd/Route 66 (Baja Glendora) is of little concern to the city council.
