If it were up to me, this guy would get life w/o parole. It was just a matter of time before he raped and/or murdered someone. This wasn't a "stupid moment" either. This guy had uniforms, lights, etc. He is a predator who planned this. And he's out on bail? Hope a detective is watching him.

Glendora, California 91741 police should have arrested a very round an old looking Glendora man who they say pretended to be a policeman and tried to pull over young women.

Gary Clifford should have been arrested at his home on charges of attempted false imprisonment and impersonating a police officer.

As many people know Gary Clifford has tried this before! P.S.- Crime is doing what is Glendora, California 91741 - 91740, going up did you say?

Gary Clifford is a white man, and some of you racist people say only hispanics create crime. Shame on you people playing the race card. Poor whites this white man has made the white people look bad.

OMG....I saw a car exactly like this, push bar, search light, etc. ecept it was black. Lousy paint job too with some dents on the side.

Looked like several young men inside, two and front and two in back. Was one of those things where you look at the car and it definitely did not look "right". No special markings, no gov't. plates.

Was making a right turn from Skypark onto Crenshaw about 3 PM yesterday.

Don't get it. It took a citizen to spot this guy? I bet he didn't have his car fixed up like this just yesterday. Why didn't the real police spot this guy before? Was there a sale at Dunkin in Glendora?

Ive seen plenty of these cars that look like coppers, but its clear that they are not. Think they are older cop cars they sell to junk yards then picked up by the public.
Those cars that are sold as scrap to yards and then resold, are supposed to have all LE accoutraments removed before resale.

The car I saw had searchlights and a ram grill attached.

Well I guess that the only explanation here is that this dirt-bag stole a real police car, painted it all white, changed the vin. number and was good to go! What do you think?

I think there is a market for just about anything you want to buy -and this moron took advantage of that.

IMO, ALL LE look-alike equipment should be banned. And, of course, the real stuff only sold to actual LE.

Funny we are on the subject, I seen two more yesterday that looked like old police cars, and another no more than 10 minutes ago while on lunch! They we clearly not police officers.
They are not uncommon to see...
FTI: The South Los Angeles CHP Office on Hamilton Ave. in Torrance right at the intersection of the 405 & 110, sells used CHP cars to the highest bidder. These units are all put through a program that removes all police equipment and are painted so they no longer resemble a marked police unit. The push bars are removed also and many of them are sold for taxi's. However, some citys sell off old police units and just paint them and nothing else with the exception of taking out the radios and lights & siren.

The starting bids are at $5000 and go from there. You submit your bid in writing one day and one or two days later they call you to tell you if your bid won.

Three sheriff's deputies are on leave without pay after being charged with beating an inmate at the Los Angeles County Jail.

The alleged attack took place in January 2006 and charges were filed in September, but Sandi Gibbons of the district attorney's office says the DA was never notified by the Justice System Integrity Division, which is handling the case.

Inmate Gabriel Vasquez sustained a fractured cheekbone and other injuries when he was allegedly beaten by Deputies Lee Simoes, 34; Humberto Magallanes, 29; and Kenny Ramirez, 30. The deputies have pleaded not guilty.

Has this ever happened in Glendora, California 91741?

Judge through the case out becuase this never happened. There was not enough evidence so it will be interesting to see how Glendora is gonna avoid getting sued over this. Unfortunatley very few people know this cause they don't want anyone to know of the mistake.
