So, if people aren't to boycott the BP stations for being supplied with gas from BP, who are people to boycott then?

That's putting the old noodle to work there, Willie. First class logic you're displaying. So you don't have a problem buying BP's product, just as long as thier sign is not on the building. Yep, you're really making a statement there. I only hope that you are not employed in a field in which others depend on your decision making ability.
Or I could take your approach and just go ahead and support them because there is nothing "I" can really do about it anyway. bhaaaaaaaaa

Think of the BP children. Always think of the children. Show us pictures of the children. Make the cougars and soccer moms weep over the children. The little tiny children so small they fit in a teacup. And then and only then drop your money in to BP's pocket and feel relieved that "You did it for the children"

My impression is that people who boycott the gas stations are (legitimately) looking for a way to express their anger and frustration.

I agree, though, that they're probably hurting the wrong people the most. Automotive fuel is only a portion of their business. If you're truly serious about boycotting BP, why not target their other products like lubricants, aluminum, asphalt, aeromatics, plastics? You probably continue to use their products and enrich them without knowing it.

You're simply stuck on their signage because that's what's visible. I can appreciate your frustration, but I don't respect your boycott as an effective effort. I started to boycot but I now believe that it's simply a reaction that hurts the wrong people the most.

CITGO, on the other hand, I will not buy at all, for reasons stated above. For me, it's simply A matter of principle. Maybe I should allow others the same liberty with respect to BP.

ZX is not owned by Chavez or BP. ZX is owned by individual owners in St. Louis area only. This gas brand is supplied by our local company and not affiliated with citgo or BP.

ZX stations are individually owned and operated. ZX brand is locally owned and supplies gas locally. They are not affiliated with BP or CITGO. When Chavez pulled out of our are Midwest, our local company fill in. You will not find any ZX outside surrounding area. All properties and operations are owned by different local people.
