Ok, I'm not Arabic, but your post could send a lot of Arabs into a rage of fure, cause most of the foods mentioned by you here are NOT Armenian, I repeat, they are NOT Armenian. ANd I was really waiting for your comment to set the record straight here - and I know that some folks here of the Armenian inclination will be furious too, but come one people, let's set it straight. Most foods in LA, CAli or the US, where ARmenian communities have been thriving, are introduced by these folks to the non-Armenians, and either intentionally or by default/accident, over time, the non-Armenian patrons ASSUME that these foods are Armenian, but most of them are not, they are just popularised by the Armenians, who probably have lived either in Russia, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Turkey, Argentina, etc, etc, and have been accustomed to the cuisine, so they brought it along to the States and sold them. Just like not all "MExican" food in LA is really Mexican, it could be Salvadorian, Peruvian, or Guatemalan, and then it is all lumped into one category as Mexican, per se.<quoted text>
Yummy food, shish kabob, hummus, tabuleh, rice, baba ganush, everything is yummy i love armenian food.
Back to the "Armenian" foods - the whole kebab thing is widely popular in that region, in Armenia, Georgia, the Middle East and all, so it's kind of hard to tell where it relly came from , cause that whole area had its borders shift so many times in history, that it all became coomon place. The whole dolma thing could be Greek. The Romanians have it too, they call it sarma or something like that. The rice, well everyone eats it, and it probably came down from the Orient. The Lehmejine - the "Armenian pizza" is not Armenian at all, it's Arabic. The borscht is Russian, but widely popular in Easter Europe and elsewhere. The Empanadas - well, believe it or not, they had them in Persia and in Armenia too, but they are strongly associated with the LAtino cultures... and so on
So, I bet you all the racist pigs on this forum do eat Zankou chicken, shop at local Armenian grocery stored for better produce for cheaper AND eat rice and beans too, so they are just as full of shit as the next guy, whose shit stinks even better than yours... and so on, you get the point.
