If they came here legally to become American citizens, I welcome them. But these people come here saying they have no choice because Mexico is such a s**t hole. No other immigrant from any other country has ever acted this way or had this false sense of entitlement. The word ungrateful comes to mind. We can't seem to give them enough.
Our elected officals have got to start listening to the people and stop this insanity.

What pis@es me off is that my wife, who is Filipino by birth, but a naturalized US citizen since 1986, legally petitioned for immigration, her brother and two sisters (who ALL work and have a college education) over 20 years ago. We have been told by INS that they have at least 6-8 years left, BEFORE they can LEGALLY immigrate to the US. By then, they will be over 60 years old. No wonder these crooked illegals scoff at our laws! So much for doing it the "right way"!

Anyway, everybody has ancestors from somewhere... that point doesn't have anything to do with the immigration laws of any of the worlds countries. If we just took away the benefits of illegal immigration... the social services, amend the "born here citizenship" law to read "born here legally citizenship" there would be no issue and we wouldn't need fences to keep anybody out. Seriously, if all there was here was fruit picking jobs and no other benefits... they can just as well grow the fruit in Mexico to start with. A sort of maquiladora fruit facility.

What's pathetic is that it isn't "Mexicans" picking fruit here, it's more often ILLEGALS from further south (Ecuador, Guatemala)...And, they aren't picking a damned thing for one single American...ALL of our produce is shipped overseas to places like China...Just check your local grocery store, and see where your fruits & veggies are coming from, the VERY SAME PLACES AS THE ILLEGALS...HThe majority of these ILLEGALS could easily STAY HOME and pick our goods...It would sure save U.S. taxpayers some serious $$$...
