This not the only problem with Adamec I had a battery that was bad and under warranty. the bike would not start even in the dealership. but because the computer said charge battery they would not replace it. I was told to take the bike home take out the battery and jump start it with my truck and then it would fail I went to St Aug. and they replaced it for me I'm done with Adamec

The bike would not have been in the truck if Adamec would have done there job right. Shoddy Maintenance

The fact is, shoddy maintenance led to the breakdown. The towing company's cards are displayed in the dealership. The motorcycle has been damaged and will be noted for future disclosure when being sold. If it really is worth as much as it would be new, the the dealership should have no problem making it right by this customer. Take it back and sell it to the next customer. Maybe customer experiences like this are the reason they are blacklisted by Military Sales and cannot deliver motorcycles to servicemembers returning from overseas duty.

Stay the hell away from Adamec. I don't know who this idiot is talking on customer service, but take it from someone who will never deal with them again. IT AIN"T THERE!!!!! I live in Ga. and called on some pushrods for bike. Wanted adjustable not solid. Parts guy said he didn't have Screamin Eagles but had another type. I asked "Are they adjustable , not solid" he said yes. Arrive 40 min.s later to find him smiling, and happy to give me my order. Guess what,
they were solid non adjustable. Idiot had no idea what I was talking about. Arguement ensued and Mgr. comes out. Calls store in Orange Park and tells me they have them. I said send this little twit you call a parts guy over to get them. Says he can't do that, I would have to. Now thats customer service, NOT!!!! Stay away from these guys. there a joke.

Good customer service!? You installed a part incorrectly leading to a chain of unfortunate events for the customer. Regardless if they have corrected everything for this customer, it will keep me away. I don't want this happening to me! I'll go somewhere else.

This problem sure has put the customer in a bad spot, but now the public knows...might put the big dealing in a bad position too.

From the interview, I believe this Rick Hutchens guy went out of his way to get the bike fixed - quick. It sounds like the customer is being unreasonable. Besides, the customers beef should be with the towing company. Looks like they effed up the tie down.

The customer's scooter was not involved in a wreck. The repairs were not subsequent to an auto crash. Kick the towing company for rotten work, but the dealer did the right thing.

You mean the towing company that is owned by the motorcycle dealer? Adamac's bites when it comes to repairs. They totally screwed up my Fatboy, and I had to take it to another dealership, and spend a lot of money to get their fu*k up re-done. It turns out, they had installed the wrong parts. Would they make it right? No way. Adamac's would take no responsibility for it at all. They just want your money and don't care how they get it.

Sorry dude...I know for a fact the HD dealer doesn't own the towing company, so don't pin that one on them.

Sounds like a real kicker, not the first time Adamecs' name came up in a bad deal. This is why I drive 4 hours out of my way to Daytona. Never been treated wrong, and got better customer support even if it was for just a t-shirt! When you have a bank check in hand for full value of a new fatboy, and Adamec can not even help you get a bike of your selection. I tell everyone go somewhere where you will be wanted! And this is why i own 2 bikes and my friend Chad owns 7. None from Adamecs!

Let us review...

Fatboy Mojo...you an idiot if you think Daytona is better, what a joke. Worst dealer in the sunshine belt. Bar none.

Charles...you are correct, replaced parts has NO impact on resale whatsoever.

GatorsSuk...you are inbred stumpfuct hillbilly.

Ralph...you are correct, the towing company has no connection with Adamec.

Judge...Well that is why you are a judge...dead on correct.

Bobby...what SHOULD Adamec have done...tell the customer "too bad, sorry your alarm doesn't work...". Get here best way you can!

Evo...your just pissed at the world, couldn't have been a simple miscommunication, huh? Dork.

Tommy...Adamec is NOT on any "blacklist" (BTW, no such thing as a "blacklist" for vehicle sales through NEX), they deliver military sales bikes all the time...once again, misinformed spreading bad info. Come on shipmate...you SHOULD know better.

NavyBlue...now HOW do you KNOW it was shoddy maintenance? Pretty strong assumption on your part.

Andrews...lemme get this right, Adamec wouldn't replace a dead battery for you for free, when there isn't anything "wrong" with it...other than dead. I assume they showed you it was dead, after they checked for it for charge level/dead cells, etc.(remember the print out they gave you...it said recharge...translation...no bad battery). Of course not good enough for you...gotta have a new one (probably left you key on and drained it) and THEY should pay for it. Did they good folks at St. Augustine tell you WHY it was dead...not likely to go bad within two years..

Bottom line, these guys (Adamec) do try and do the right thing when it coes to customer service...it is when the customers have an unrealistic expectation, that is when things get difficult. Not one person has cited a real case of "bad" customer service...

As a maintenance guy for the last 24 years, if a part litterally falls off the motorcycle after 400+ miles, that's no assumption, it's reality.

Here's the bottom line: When a customer goes into an American icon and pays a premium for a product, the experience and service should reflect an expected level of reciprocity.

Navy Blue...I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, however, the reality is that the service techs aren't getting paid a lot of money. In fact, some work on the side just to make ends meet. The only folks who are getting rich are the owners of the dealership.

To all that may read this, morons and reasonable folks alike, I sought out and received confirmation from the Military Sales rep that Adamec has been removed from the blacklist. At least I can admit things have changed. I was not able to take delivery in 2006. I retract my previous statement. Integrity...nuff said.

Hey just some Moron. The battery was only 1 year old. The key was not left on. I fully charged the battery myself. after the bike sitting in the gargae for 3 days it would not start. charged it a second time did the same thing DEAd after 3 days. at least St Aug didn't need a computer print out to tell the battery had a dead cell.
