Because, everyone is up in your business. It's a small town, most people gossip.

I'm planning on leaving this town in a few years.
I keep to myself and stay in my own little world.

Corinth is great!
Not crowded, little or no snow, no low flying jets buzzing over, low taxes, your choice of 20 gas stations,
work is close by, local people are friendly,
Big city crime is 90 miles away. And a ton of other reasons I can list later.
I have lived in big cities and Corinth can't be beat.

If you think that CORINTH is the worst place to live, you're either really YOUNG or just inexperienced! If you've EVER lived anywhere else for any length of time...you'll realize that Corinth is about the same as most small towns in the South. And big-city living isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Get out of Corinth...go to Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, LA, New Orleans. Live any of those placed for a while...and you'll have a new appreciation of Corinth!

Life is What You Make of It !!! City life can be great. Same goes for small town living. Depends on the persons life-style and career. I have lived both ! I truly, have enjoyed both ! So, live
your life to the fullest and You will not be disappointed "NO" matter where You Live !

If you think Corinth is bad, try living in south Florida for awhile. If you make it out of there alive, you might appreciate the slower, more pleasant way of life here a little more.

Down there, if you look at someone the wrong way, forget about gossip, they'll just shoot at you.

The locals here think this pisshole is some type of Garden of Eden especially the little "click" whose residents all live North of Shiloh Road! I would'nt be too proud of something whose only claim to fame is a damn slugburger! What a joke! You stole the ingredients of a soy burger and made it your on back in the day. Oh and the so called tourism industry is basically a bunch or run down houses that a supposed to be old and needed a wrecking ball years ago! The best way to view this miserable pig pen is thru your rear view mirror.

I hate to admit it, alot of your comment here is true. Small town minds think a like. Some people, here in Corinth, don't have a clue, how the rest of the world lives. Too, narrow minded. I am a christian, and live my life to its fullest ! However, I am going to get slammed by some people here on this post. My, only problem with any small town is the gossip ! Even, the so-called church going crowd, can be the worse gossips ! Some people are jealous, of other peoples success.
Also, its a click, if you are born 3or 4 generation corinthian's. They dislike out-siders.

I have no problem with your comment. Some of the regular church-goers are the biggest hypocrites around. Have you noticed the divorce rate in this town? Some folks are on their third and fourth marriage. Apparently they don't take their vows too seriously. We all know there are extenuating circumstances that may have caused the break-ups, but the percentage of those who are on number 2 and 3 is rather disheartening. Think of the poor kids, for heaven's sake. I DO think some folks are too busy worrying about what their neighbors have. If one can overlook all this, and just enjoy life and one's family, none of it really matters. Small town life can be and is very rewarding, and less stressful on one.

It's not the place you want to move to look for a good paying job that's for sure..

The hospital emergency room has updated it's look but it's still the same ole three to four hour sitting in the waiting room holding your severed hand as it was 30 years ago..Oh they'll give you a bucket or something to help you keep the blood from gushing on their nice new floors when you wait..lol

Kids you got your pick of the 40 year old bowling alley or the movies..If you under 11 or so you might do a little skating..I think that place it still open..Let see what else is there? I think that's about wraps it up..Oh wait unless they stopped it you can go hang out in Wal-mart parking lot too.I can't believe I almost forgot that..lol All joking aside I think it's awful what we have to offer the youth around here to keep them entertained..If the schools did have things to offer to keep kids occupied such as sports events the kids would get mighty bored real quick..My best advise to the youth is get a good education because your gonna need it to find a good job outside of corinth. My son's driving a 120 miles round trip to work every day.

So if there's nothing for the youth to do and there's such a market there for the taking, come up with something and open up a new business. Then when you close it up a few months later due, come back here griping some more.

It's simple economics....there aren't enough people financially willing (or able) to do things that you say we lack in this area.

If there was a sustainable market, we would have it.

Well June, I'm a Christian too and I have to say I agree with you. I don't think its just Corinth though. I lived in Corinth for several years and overall its a pretty good place to live, but yeah, the gossip and the little cliques are a problem.

It's not the economics it the crooked people sticking their hands in the pot over the years. There's people here that could make things happen to help entertain our youth but like you said they aren't willing..I doubt this town would have ever made it as long as it has without the Little's.Guess we have to take the good with the bad in order to make it work..Trust me if I had the money I would be more than glad to give it a shot just to keep kids out of the trouble they can get into these days. Why not upgrade the things we do have to offer here? Both the skating rink and the bowling alley are the same as when it went to them 30 some odd years ago..

We ARE very fortunate to have some nice big churches for our youth to go to and get envolved in things..I'm thankful for all the citizens that take part in leading the youth.
Hopefull

It does take a village to raise a child or children, so too speak. The lack of True interest
in Alcorn county is lacking. People, don't want to get involved or don't care to get involved for change ! These kids are our future and the next generation. Most kids are lazy, like most of the parents today ! Children, are raising themselves and the brothers and sisters... Its wrong & completely sad ! Put action to work and stop the talk, walk the walk and talk the talk,,,Folks !
These kids need the Arts and Music !!! Brain, needs to be challenged !!! NO, THE LITTLE FAMILY HAS BEEN THE SUCCESS OF CORINTH !!!!!!!!!!
Missy, You Must be a Little ! Get off, Your lazy butts and help the Children !!!
