another one bites the dust...close york....everything in york is closing....no protection...dirty streets ( very )
shootings...stabbings...drug dealers everywhere...why stay....good town for drug dealers....almost forgot...very high property taxes....city codes department walks by many violations instead of issuing citations to correct and improve the look of the city....

I didn't realize they were still open, but that move makes sense. It's nice to have Knicker's just outside of town and young girls at Murph's after midnight, what more do you need? People who live around York just aren't adventuresome enough to keep clubs busy. I hope York's next mayor can lobby for government buildings downtown, that's what keeps Harrisburg busy. There are SO many companies leaving downtown york in 2010 and the northwest triangle will probably never happen. Why would it? Turn it into baseball fields and open space. Let's focus on raising money from new business and lowering property taxes before we worry about getting drunk in the club and building condos. Put pedestrian street lights all over the City and fund your community watch programs. This isn't 2005 anymore. Back to basics.

Putting cops on the sidewalks would be a help too.

I have been pissed ever since Evolution was shut down. I live in a little town near Lancater and always drove up to the club. I parked on one of the streets near the club and walked to and from my car. I never had any issues and wasn't afraid. It was a nice place to hang out and have fun. I wish they would reopen something like that so there was something to do. The streets near the club were never scary to me. Again never had any problems.
